The check when smoothly, the staff was friendly. The tech was very good. I had a 1:00 appointment and was called right at 1:00 on time I was finished by 1:15. Very happy with both the Frederick and Mt Airy offices. Never had a problem CRA

Mount Airy Community Radiology is a beautiful facility, and I was impressed with how clean and organized the front office was. Although the office is busy, there were several staff members at the front counter efficiently checking patients in, verifying insurance, and directing them to the proper locations. I was there for an MRI and found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. If there is any trouble or confusion with your appointment, there is an on-site office manager available to troubleshoot any issues. She was absolutely lovely and very supportive. The MRI and X-ray areas are clean and truly state-of-the-art. The technician who assisted with my brain MRI was kind, considerate, thoughtful, and extremely patient, which made the experience much more comfortable. Mount Airy is also the only Community Radiology location in the area that offers an open MRI, which is a huge benefit for anyone who suffers from anxiety or claustrophobia. I highly recommend this location for all the reasons listed above.

Could not ask for a better experience. The scheduling was fast and easy. When I arrived check in was done in a flash. Within 5 minutes I was called back to have my procedure done. The technician explained what was going to take place and took care of business. Everyone that I came in contact with was very helpful and polite.

This review is focused more on the business telephone scheduling and reception. I had two MRI’s 3 days apart. The first technician was above and beyond 5 stars. The second person was rushed and questioned everything I said. On to scheduling: 1. Be pleasant - the person on the other side of the line may be concerned or frightened. 2. If English is your secondary language I say bravo for you and please slow down and enunciate; not everyone can understand what you are saying. 3. Stay in your lane. If a medical question is asked find a qualified person to answer - do not provide your opinion, or worse, say something that is not true. 4. If a Doctor requests a STAT order or urgent order then I would hope a supervisor could adjust the schedule- first come first served is a deli, not a partner in health care delivery. 5. Thank you to the Radiologist who stayed and read the report. And finally a word on work culture. COVID did change health care and many in the field are working hard to return to normal. For some it is easier to blame then adapt and I would respond with each of us faces challenges every day. It is how we respond to those challenges that defines us. Respectfully-

CRA in Mount Airy has horrible customer service. A older lady with reddish hair seemed to take pleasure in being difficult and abrasive. I walked in with Doctors orders in hand to schedule whatever tests were ordered by th doctor. Handed the paper to the lady. While being extremely short and rude, she hastly missed a critical test that the doctor ordered. Further when I returned and spoke to her directly, she told me it was my fault that I didn't ask for a scan that was in her system. I am the patient, not the doctor, I have an issue that needs to be looked at. I don't need to fight with someone who made a mistake and is to immature to take responsibility for it. Do your job because when you don't people's medical health is at jeopardy. This lady shouldn't be speaking to patients or booking appointments as she failed at both. Book any office but this one!
