If you are looking for a doctor who listens to you, respects your intelligence, and investigates the root cause of your symptoms, do not see Dr. Emmanuel. I went to him with persistent urinary symptoms and an MRI report that clearly proved I had "Chronic Inflammation" in my prostate. Because it wasn't cancer, Dr. Emmanuel completely checked out. He was dismissive of my pain and refused to order simple further testing (a semen culture) to see if the inflammation was bacterial. He ignored the objective evidence from the radiologist and offered no solution, effectively telling me to "live with it." It is terrifying to be in the hands of a doctor who lacks the curiosity to find out why a patient is sick. He seems to only care about surgery; if he can't cut you, he doesn't want to help you. I am taking my health records elsewhere. Patients deserve a doctor who investigates, not one who dismisses.

I am pleased with my experience with AA Urology Greenbelt Surgery Center. All staff members are professional and have excellent bedside manner. Dr. Heavner was very thorough in explaining my procedure, answering my questions, addressing my concerns even after the procedure, and explaining his findings. Dr. Phan, the anesthesiologist, made me feel less anxious prior to the procedure, and Janelle, the pre-operation nurse was very caring. Procedures can be nerve racking, but having an excellent team like AA urology can put your mind at ease.
