Surgery was fine but I’ve been waiting for a refund of 1250$ for over three years because they forced me to pay what my insurance already paid. Every time I email no one answers, I call and leave a voicemail to billing which claims they’ll get back to be within one business day and they haven’t more than 10 times. If this isn’t insurance fraud then I don’t know what is. If you’re going to have surgery there and have insurance don’t let them take your money, you will never see it again and they will gladly make you pay twice.

I made the mistake of paying for my surgery upfront, such that when my EOB came back I had to file for a refund of around $800. I have been waiting nearly four months for my refund and their behavior is unacceptable. The desk tells me that the billing department 'drags their feet' when approving refunds - which is so unbelievably unacceptable that I can't believe there isn't an easier legal way to go about reporting them. The billing department will NOT pick up the phone, even for my insurance. I did end up sending my insurance to them to see what's going on, and they're even giving them the runaround. At this point I've heard nothing from them and received nothing. I will be contacting my insurance again to see what can be done, and if that fails, I will be taking them to small claims court. This is an absolutely awful center.

The energy of this place is amazing. Everyone treated me as if I was a loved one of theirs. NURSE IVY is the absolute best. I’ve never felt more comfortable and cared for. I have never had major surgery and the staff here made the experience absolutely stress and anxiety free for myself & my support system. The world needs more healthcare workers like this! Everyone was great. I couldn’t be more grateful or happy. My surgery was an absolute success!

I was scheduled for a medical procedure yesterday and was very anxious and nervous. I wish I could remember everyone's name who assisted me yesterday (I'm sorry). From the front desk staff, to my prep nurse, the anesthesiologist, and a few other nurses-these women were phenomenal in making me feel comfortable and at ease. I don't agree with those who rated 1 star over the billing. I was notified ahead of time about my co-pay, You fill out paperwork asking you to choose how and if you want your insurance billed and you're even given the courtesy to pay 50% of your payment up front and then make payment arrangements for the remaining balance which can be monthly or biweekly until the balance is paid off. I'm sure waiting for a refund is a pain, but when I think of reviews, I'm looking for quality care and customer service. I would definitely come back to this center for surgery again. I even received a follow call the next day to see how I was feeling and making sure I was not having post-surgery complications. Staff is on point, knowledgeable and professional. Thank you to all of the staff!

At the time of the surgery o was requested to pay the entire deductible. After claim was processed, my responsibility was 0$ , so I was waiting for a refund. After a month a gave Glen Echo a call to learn that I should have money back within a 7-10 days. Ofcourse this did not happen and I had to call again to learn that they still don’t enter return and that they are “behind”(which should not be my problem). They advised that I have to wait for another month to receive money back. Horrible experience, they don’t do anything to assist. Don’t pay them upfront as they don’t do their diligent review of ululated policy and patient financial responsibilities.
