I had the best experience at Lakeview. I had cataract surgery on both eyes and the surgery and staff were amazing. I can't say enough about Doctor James. If I were a spider and had more eyes, I'd go back and have those done as well. I highly recommend them.

The experience that we had was despicable. Let me say that the front receptionist staff was exceptional. Hence, the two stars. They were very helpful and accommodating. But from there it went down hill. The person that claimed to be the administrator is very disrespectful and condescending in her tone when speaking to patients and family. In fact, she hung up on me and claimed she didn't. No one introduced themselves but just started working as if the patient was apart of the assembly line. My husband's doctor asked for a repeat temperature. I'm assuming the tech came over and took the temperature and received a reading. However, some other woman came over snatched the thermometer out of her hand and did a repeat temperature that gave a low grade fever reading. After debate of him having the surgery or not, I made the decision that he would not have the surgery there. I asked my husband's surgeon to refrain from scheduling him at this place. Please make this the last resort. I rather drive further out to make sure he is receiving the best care.

I do recommend this eye surgery center. I gave three stars because of improper accounting during my two visits. I paid the requested fee needed before surgery both times. But was sent a bill after the visits indicating that I still owe the Lakeview Surgery Center $100 total for my visits. Impossible! Without the Lakeview Surgery Center representatives saying it, it seemed clear to me that no medical procedure could occur without having paid first. Yes, I received two receipts neither of which I can locate now. PLEASE SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS. I PAID CASH during the second visit. Last, I sincerely hope I am the only patient with this issue. If not there is a thief there at the front counter collecting payments.

The entire staff at Lakeview Surgery Center is, quite frankly, exceptional. I have to care for many family members who required care and some myself and I have never experienced the exceptional, engaging quality care that I received from this team. From the time you walk in the door and greeted, to the entire medical team, I received the highest level care. Dr. Alexander Baten-Tschan is AMAZING - thoughtful, engaging, listening intently to every question and communicating in a way that everyone will understand. If you want quality care, don't hesitate to go to the Lakeview Surgery Center - EXCEPTIONAL staff, EXCEPTIONAL medical team, EXCEPTIONAL.
