Since day one, I’ve been so grateful for Dr Leavitt and Dr Maud. The compassionate, understanding and kind ways they attended to my/our family needs. Through out my pregnancy, me and my husband felt actually cared for there. Front desks receptionists always so nice and wonderful. A few nurses and ultrasound tech were also great too. To sum it up, we made a great choice by going to this place for our needs. Truly, thank you thank you.

I called several time to billing department to appeal a bill over the span of 5-6 months. The first three people to answer told me they would send appeal paperwork, but I never received it. The fourth person to answer explained to me that they don’t have appeal paperwork, she instead sent me to another admin for the doctors office, who was entirely confused on why I was sent there at all. After being passed around to several people I was told a manager would call me ASAP. When I still hadn’t heard back 3 weeks later, I called the number provided and they had no information or reason for why I would be calling. I then continued to call billing but was told I had to wait for a manager to call me. She was always out of office or had called me but I didn’t answer (there were no missed calls on the dates they provided and my number was correct). I was lied to by billing and just sent on goose chase for months to finally be told that there was nothing I could do or change. This is a predatory hospital who does not prioritize patient care.

Monsieur Daniel Loisoille is warm and personable. He takes time to get to know his patients and cares deeply about their well-being. I give this medical practice a 3 out of 5 for two reasons: 1. - Receptionist conduct: Some of the receptionists lack basic communication skills and, if I may add, cultural sensitivity. During each of my visits, I am asked who my doctor is. I mention Dr. Loisoille and typically pronounce his name in French, as that is its original form and I speak the language. The staff often feel compelled to correct me pronunciation and anglicize it, which feels dismissive and unnecessary. 2. - Organizational issues: The reception team also seems disorganized and surprised by routine requests like scheduling a blood test. This past week, I had a blood test, a glucose test, and a cholesterol test. I received the blood test results promptly via my InterMed account, but had to return to the office to ask about the others. The same receptionist who scheduled the tests called InterMed headquarters for clarification. When she mentioned my name, she referred to me as “Kareem D.” despite my having explained my full name beforehand. A small gesture of respect—like trying to pronounce it—would have gone a long way. Final thought: I’d also like to gently point out that not everyone is familiar with medical procedures or terminology. As a patient, I didn’t know that glucose and cholesterol levels could be measured simply by drawing blood and placing it into a tube. The technician seemed surprised by my questions, but I believe medical staff should be prepared to explain these things without judgment. A little patience and clarity go a long way in making patients feel respected and informed.

their behavioral health services are a joke. had an appointment and the first question they asked me was if AI can listen in on my physical and take notes. no professionalism, no regard for privacy, and after ten years with them i have basically had zero treatment for all of my preexisting conditions. i have been at a waitlist with another provider for 2 years.

I have been dealing with a chronic illness for the last 4 years. My doctor at the time did not have the expertise or experience to treat me-I was put on steroids for months then pressured heavily to go on an antidepressant as they did not think there was anything physically wrong with me. I declined and asked for a new doctor who will actually treat my symptoms. The practice allowed me to change my doctor but told me this would be the last time (I would have to leave the practice if I wanted a new one). After 4 years of countless tests, time, and money spent I was hopeful my new doctor would approach from an empathetic and understanding place and provide a treatment plan. Instead I was gaslighted, saying I had one diagnosis but not actually putting it in my chart. I had a visit 2 months ago and brought a family member with me as an advocate. I and my family member were told that what was really wrong with me is that I’m mentally ill and his initial diagnosis from 3 years ago was incorrect. I have been a patient for over 31 years and will never return to Intermed. I got a new Dr who immediately referred me to a rheumatologist and created a treatment plan and for the first time in 4 years I have found relief from the pain I was experiencing. These 2 doctors allowed me to suffer and did not care about my well being. Please, avoid this practice especially if you are a young woman. They will take your money, tell you you are crazy to try to hide their incompetence, without providing any sort of care.
