I had 3 stints put in today at Cardiovascular Outpatient center in Lake Charles. I am beyond satisfied with the service! I want to thank the young lady that checked us in, she was very friendly and nice. Also Jeff and May and Mary three of my nurses that took care of me. And of course Dr. Jake LeBeau, he is the best cardiologist ever! Thank you guys for making my visit pleasant! My husband was also treated great and that made me very happy. I highly recommend this place!

We arrived as scheduled for 12pm.for pre op for a 1pm procedure. We were put into a waiting “recovery room” the rooms were curtained rooms with inadequate seating for any guests who are going to be waiting for multiple hours. The outpatient procedure required no food or drink intake starting at midnight for a woman of 66 years of age that already is malnourished because of food rejection. So she had not eaten since well before 8:30 pm the previous night. The problem began after they came to us a half hour past scheduled procedure time to tell us that the doctor was late that morning after being held up at the hospital. (They knew this information when we arrived but neglected to tell us or offer a reschedule) the doctor finally comes in (dr. foster) and just does not hold himself properly for a medical professional, touching his face and nose ( I literally saw snot pull away from his nose) he informs us that he has another patient ahead of us his second patient for the day and then he will be ready to take her back, she asked some questions and he answered a couple questions about the procedure. 2pm comes and goes and we start conversing about the situation and how it is ridiculous and the last patient of the day comes in and they immediately ask if they wanted to reschedule or wait it out, the patient said they would wait. Then the nurses started talking about the doctor and the scheduler lack there of and how rude he is to them. We can hear everything clear as day. 3pm passes and a nurse finally comes to get her for her procedure, we ask how long it will be for the procedure and she says 1hr-1.5hrs. Then a 2 hour recovery before discharge. Now the nurses are irritated because they can not leave either until the last patient has left recovery which I can only assume by how our experience had gone that, that won’t be until 8pm or later. I bet they wished they had asked about us rescheduling after that. Needless to say we hopefully won’t be back to this location or doctor unless we absolutely have to.
