Worst place ever!!!! Made my diabetic husband wait for hours for cataract surgery without food or meds!! 35 people in waiting room, no parking. Run!!!!!!
DO NOT RECOMMEND. ALLOW ME TO REPEAT I DO NOY RECOMMEND going to Mcpeak VisionPartners in Glasgow. First of all, they didnt even check me in for 20 minutes after my appointment time, sat in the waiting room for an additional 35 minutes. Finally get called back, the lady asks me how my days going, I replied with "it would be a lot better if you all respected your patients time. She replied with well we are busy, to which I informed her that I had been waiting an hour, her reply we get through as many people as fast as we can. I calmly said maybe you shouldn't book so many appointments then. She informs me they have no control on the amount of appointments they book. EXCUSE ME?! How is it you have IN HOUSE booking and can't control the amount of patience you see in a day to ensure a better experience? This is an example of corporate greed in its finest. They do not care about their patience they only care about making money and hearding folks through like live stock. I wouldn't recommend going here if you need surgery, an exam, I wouldn't even recommend going here if you had a nail in your eye ball and your only other option was to pull it out yourself. If you schedule an appointment here have fun and good luck.
I found great people and excellent service. I had an eye emergency with possible internal problems. I called several places with no acceptance for and consultation. I then call McPeak and they said come in. I sat in the waiting area and listened to lots of people coming in and out with smiles on their faces. I was nervous but I have to admit they treated me better than anywhere I’ve been. Dr. Wilson was so professional and polite. He confirmed what I thought but reassured me it was going to be ok. He explained the situation and the healing. He gave me great advice and information of what to do if this happens again….come right back. I found a great place with nice people. The office scheduler, receptionist and assistant were great. The tech who helped fit my new glasses was an angel. Any negative comments appear to be simple issues. My experience was as good as it gets. I recommend this office group to everyone.
Honestly I would be ashamed if this was my business. I’m not usually one to get on here and complain like this but my visit was extremely disappointing. I walk in to check in and tell the check in lady “hi, I’m Sarah Button here checking in” she THEN puts her phone down from scrolling on tik tok or Instagram (I didn’t wanna be nosy and stare at her phone) and says -already- with an attitude “what’s your name” so I tell her again. She asked if I had insurance and I told her that I do but my surgery wasn’t covered (8,500 out of pocket total cost) and she says ok that’s $100. At this point I get a little aggravated because I’ve already been sent a bill for $1400 that I’ve ALREADY PAID AND STRESSED PUT ABOUT and not about to pay another $100 for a check up that’s included in that price. She asks me to take a seat and they will be out soon. Soon is 38 minutes later. I get called back finally and they do the drops and all that’s fine. They do the eye pressure without cleaning the machine (and I’ve heard it’s a puff of air but they are still touching eye lashes and I would rather not catch something because they aren’t cleaning the machines between uses. And I don’t think it was after use because when she was done it went right back on the table) anyway after that I wait outside again for another room to open up and get told to put my chin in the chin rest for her to check my eyes up close and I take my tissue they gave me to gently wipe down the plastic because I have very sensitive skin and break out super easy because it wasn’t cleaned before or after being in it. I go to check out and make my next appointment and talk to the lady that checked me in and I told her that I needed to make a 6 month appointment please and she didn’t say a word to me, just pointed behind her. Rude. I got a little upset and told her I was sorry for bothering her then she asked what time my appointment was (I was 3 minutes early btw) so she could “see what she did wrong” I said well it’s kinda stressful when you are kept being asked to pay money you don’t owe and I just wish you would have checked before telling me I owe another $100. Then she started typing away. I’m sure she was adding a rude note to my profile but whatever. Talked to the ladies behind her and they were very nice and helped me make my appointment for 6 months out. Definitely will be changing that to another location.
Went there as a new patient in September of 2023. Great service, excellent people, very happy. Had exam and got new lenses. Paid in full when glasses were received. A year later, they sent me a bill for $60. I called. They said it was for my copay. I don't have insurance so there can't be a copay. They said that they have no idea. Double billing seems to be an issue in Kentucky as the same has happened at my doctor's office.
