I had a procedure today and it was such a pleasant facility. Everybody was kind and attentive to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Khalid and his nurse were wonderful. Definitely going back for my next procedure. Thank you so much

They billed 2.5x what the IUH cost estimator said it would cost for the procedure at this hospital. Had nothing to do with insurance. Avoid if possible.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. IU Health's Endoscopy Center downtown has been an absolute billing nightmare. First of all, I️ had an endoscopy scheduled for the end of 2021, when we had already met our deductible. I️ had to reschedule because the staff said they would, but failed to, send me information about getting a COVID test prior to the surgery and details about how I️ needed to prepare. I️ had never gotten a procedure like this before. I️ had no idea what to expect and I️ had told them that -- that I️ was nervous and would need guidance. None of which they gave me. I️ had to reschedule for the New Year, which cost me thousands of dollars. When the bill came in, my HSA would only let me pay half at a time. IU Health's Billing Department said that I️ could pay half then call the next day and pay the other half. So, I️ did. The next day when I️ called to pay the other half of my bill, the billing department said they didn't have a record of me having a bill. I️ spent WEEKS trying to track down the bill, asked to speak with a manager, sat on hold until I️ was brought to tears and argued with the staff that, "yes, I️ know I️ have a bill." Finally, the last conversation I️ had was with a manager in the billing department who said they had no record of me having a bill and that I️ should "Thank my lucky stars" and move on. She said if there was a bill, IU Health would send it to me at my address, which they have on file. I️ waited and waited and no bill came. Fast forward to last week, I️ get a call from a debt collector. THEY SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR A BILL I️ DESPERATELY TRIED TO PAY. Thankfully, I️ paid the bill right away and my credit wasn't knocked too bad. But this should have never happened. I️U Health, I️ hope you read this and seek solutions to your billing so this doesn't happen to anyone else. It's not right.

Terrible on following up with your care. Never answered the phone and had to go to the ER because of how bad I ended up getting..
