October 12, 2022. If there was a zero star I would select that. I am very dissappointed in Southwest Surgical Suites. I paid 3 weeks in advance of my surgery date. Then the surgery was cancelled a week before it was scheduled, through no fault of my own. I was informed by Gina, that even though I put the charges on credit cards, they will reimburse with a check within 2 weeks after the surgery was cancelled. It is now 3 weeks past the date of cancellation of my surgery and I have not received the check from them for reimbursement. They play the blame game about how someone else in another office issues the check. After more than a few phone calls I still do not have the check. Also, they do not give out an email address for the company. I am tired of trying to get them on the phone, get the truth and to get my money back. They leave me no choice but to call my credit card companies and put the almost $3800 in dispute while I am in that window of disputing. It appears that this company has financial problems. Now they are giving me financial problems. I would not recommend them to anyone. If someone does do business with them, put it on a card where you can dispute it when/if they do not refund if it comes to that. Looks like it has come to that for me. I cannot afford to lend them money.
While the wait time to get in was longer than expected, the nurses were amazing!! the anesthesiologist was very thoughtful when he could tell I was nervous..the bed was so warm which was my favorite part, and I had the option to stay as long as I needed to recover. I am forever grateful for these people!
I was overwhelmed by the kindness and thoughtfulness and acceptance that my nurses here showed me! I had a very difficult time with getting an IV started and they showed me nothing but complete compassion and love! I wish ALL nurses would be this way! They made my situation as comfortable as possible and when things got stressful...they literally hugged me and held my hand and helped me through it! I cannot express enough the amount of love and gratitude I have for these amazing ladies!! Brandy, you will forever be in my heart as one of the most empathetic nurses I have ever dealt with! Shelly, you tried so hard to get my IV started ...and also showed me nothing but complete kindness and love. Michelle, you took the best care of me in recovery, however I am embarrassed to say that I donāt remember it...but I can only imagine how kind and caring you were as I woke up. Thank you to all of you for being amazing at what you do. Lastly, thank you for showing a gal in recovery that there are KIND and loving nurses that help without passing judgment! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
This is the third time Iāve had a procedure done at Southwest surgical suites and each time the staff have went above and beyond. Pre op Iāve had Melinda each of the three times and I must say she has become my favorite. She does what she can to take your mind off of the surgery and treats you as if you a friend/family member. Shelly is also great along with the āA teamā, the Allisonās š. Each of the anesthesiologists that Iāve had have also been great. Post op nurses are patient and encouraging. No complaints.
The actual medical staff was great. Our problem is with the office staff/billing department. My wife was supposed to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift back in August 2015. My wife had a mammogram scare and her doctor did not want to deal with the breasts until we knew she was OK. We already prepaid for the surgery plus an over night charge of $650. We asked for our 650 back about two weeks after her surgery. It has now been almost 3 months and we still have not received a check. We were told it was mailed out a long time ago. We called and asked that they do a stop payment and reissue a check and was told that was not their policy. We called several times to reach someone and to have them call us back to no avail. My wife had to go back in because she had to be sewn up due to complications. This time though insurance was to cover the charges. We checked in and we were told we had to pay 68.00. I told the lady to take it out of the 650 that we never got. She said that amount was put towards the amount due. I could not believe it. The surgery was 2K and we had to pay over 700 when my wife has two insurances. I told her no one told us that was what we were to pay otherwise we would have used an actual hospital for outpatient. Her co pay is 250. Why would we pay triple? I think they are trying to scam us. My wife gets a copy of everything that way paid out by insurance each month. We will have documentation and might have to take them to court.
