There is ZERO communication here. They say the Dr is supposed to call, but the Dr says they call. When you get there, one person says you're allowed to do one thing but when you do it someone else gets on you for it. I've been here off and on for 10 years with not many issues until now. It's so frustrating. I'd much rather community north surgery center but you get what you get, I guess.
Everyone from the front office staff to the medical staff was a joy to work with. They were so kind and compassionate. I was so very nervous about the procedure and they put me at ease. Everything was modern and clean. No one wants to have surgery, but they made it a wonderful experience. Thank you!
I had a colonoscopy done here yesterday. Everyone from the front desk, to the nurses to the doctors were friendly, caring and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to go here again.
I love the staff and doctors that work at Carmel Ambulatory Surgery Center, but that experience has been completely overshadowed because the billing department is awful. If anything goes wrong with billing, they don't contact you, they send it straight to collections. For example, our HSA card changed and so the monthly payment was rejected, when I noticed this happened, I called to resolve and update my payment information but it couldn't be updated because they sent it to a debt collection agency. I submitted a ticket to have it pulled back, they said I'd have to wait 7-10 business days to see if it can be pulled back. I call back 3 times to check and finally they relay the message that I have to contact the debt collector, AMCOL and resolve with them. It was a HORRIBLE experience all due to the billing department.
I had a wonderful experience here on two visits for cataract surgery. Everyone was friendly, hospitable, caring, and professional. I was more than comfortable and knew I was in expert hands. I was even looking forward to my second visit to operate on the other eye. I’m shocked to see any critical reviews here. I didn’t wait long to be called back to my private pre-op room. I changed into a gown and a nurse put in an IV, administered a round of eye drops, and explained the procedure. She covered me with a warm blanket. She asked what drink and snack I wanted after the procedure. The surgeon and anesthesiologist came in separately. My husband waited in the room during the 20-minute procedure down the hall. In the OR, they covered me with another warm blanket. I remained awake with light anesthesia during the procedure and didn’t feel a thing. I rested back in my room for 15 minutes, then went to brunch!
