Over the years I’ve seen several surgeons, quite a few of them orthopedic & none are as awesome as Dr D Davis at SIOC. He & his PA listen & after two surgeries, I feel better than I have in a decade. They’re super friendly & made both procedures easy for me to go through. I highly recommend seeing Dr Davis if you have spinal issues.
I’ve had the best experience with every staff member I have interacted with from registration to the medical staff. I just had my knee replaced by Dr. Rhett MacNielle Monday and everything went so well. Their staff have been great their communications are excellent and they arranged for everything. It has been the most effortless on my end for such a serious procedure. They had my therapy set up at another facility of my choosing and had all my medications called in so I was prepared for when I got home after surgery. Just a great overall experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing joint replacement. Top notch!
The PAs and Nurses we worked with today were outstanding! Very polite and sweet with my 6 year old daughter who was seen for her first broken bone. If the initial experience with reception or checkout team was even half as positive, this would be a 5-star review. However, the experience during both the check-in and check-out portions of the visit, with two separate middle-aged women (worth noting, as most people expect this behavior from millennials, but not seasoned, adult professionals), was incredibly unprofessional and frustrating. Neither acknowledged my presence after standing before them, at their desks for at least 10 seconds, until I initiated conversation with a “hello” (and a smile). Only then did they stop scrolling on their cell phones (and one took a few more seconds after I spoke to finish scrolling and put her phone down) to ask me if I needed their help… If I hadn’t announced myself, I wonder how long I’d have stood there watching them scroll… Great bedside manner from the healthcare professionals, weak customer service from the office personnel. Hospitality training goes a long way, when implemented properly. My hope for SIH is that they employ new practices soon.
Ive called the clinic expecting a response after leaving a clear message on The dr nurses number. I've not had a return call. I can not receive my prosthetic till someone at the ortho institute completes their part. The Doctor did his job but the office fails at theirs. No return calls or necessary paperwork for me to walk right.
Would only recommend Dr. Young’s office if you want multiple failed procedures, multiple years of your life wasted, and to not even be treated like an actual human being who has a life in chronic pain. Should have known after my first surgery when I had to go to the ER my post-opp night, almost lost my hand due to casting being put on too tight. I never even had issues with my elbow until my second procedure with him, now I have bad cubital tunnel syndrome that makes my ring & pinky finger go numb DAILY for HOURS. Never returning to that place again. Staff are liars, only tell you 1/10 the truth, & take no responsibility for their actions. Also can barley speak to one of his staff without being interrupted every time. Paperwork they made for my lawyer had my first name spelled wrong & the date of my procedure wrong. And this is after years of being their “patient”. Very careless with their patients & treated me like I was nothing. Like I said, I would only recommend if you want multiple surgical procedures failed and multiple years of your life wasted.
