My partner had a vasectomy scheduled 3 weeks in advance. He called to confirm the day multiple times. He took off 3 days of work. The day before he called to confirm they had the right number because he hadn't received a call telling him the time of the surgery yet. They confirmed they had the right number and someone would call him shortly. No one ever did. He kept being sent on a wild goose chase the day of trying to find out where and when his surgery was supposed to be. No one wanted to take responsibility. Come to find out he was never actually put on the schedule for the surgery in the first place. He's lost almost a week of work now for no reason. Apparently this isn't the first time this has happened to a patient. Edit from a few hours later: when the person supposedly responsible for the mix up finally called to reschedule, there was no apology or explanation. They didn't even reschedule, just told us we might maybe get a call in a week to get put BACK on the schedule. When Dr Barnes and his scheduleers/team leaves officially I may change the review but as of right now, Dr. Barnes's team has been ridiculous
I saw a NP back in early June. She was thorough; but wanted me to have some tests done. I postponed not sure if they where necessary. I got a Bill late July for an office visit with a balance due of $106 after Medicare paid. I sent them a check $50 in mid August. It was cashed late August. I got a late notice in the mail middle of Sept not showing my payment of $50. I called their billing service and the lady told me she would email the doctors office to check into it. I sent a final payment of $56 the next day. Check still hasn’t cleared my bank. Hmmm sounds like a dysfunctional office staff.
If I was able to give a rating of -100 I would. I was referred to him over a year ago by my PCM. After not getting no answer, I called. His office manager gave me a story they were backed up and had just gotten to the point of viewing the referral and was going to call me back the next day to set up the appointment. I said why not do it now? He did but made seem like an inconvenience to have to do it. When I came in, I had an exam and given medication for an infection, and told to make an appointment to have my PCA blood work done. I came back for my PCA done. My big complaint is I never received the results of the PCA. This is wrong because I could have a high PCA never been informed. I am now in the process of trying to get another referral to another urologist for a second opinion as my recent PCA levels are elevated. In order to see another urologist, I need to have my records from your office sent to my PCM so they can be sent to the new urologist. I have never had problems with doctors or specialists until this situation. Hopefully, I will get to see the new urologist fora second opinion.
Office staff plays childish games when trying to schedule an appointment. Come up with every excuse in the book as to why they aren't able to schedule an appointment. 3 phone calls to them. I left a voicemail and they never returned my call. Called the next day only to get another excuse. That's as far as I got with this clinic. I finally told them I'm going to go with a different doctor. Ridiculous!
Their equipment blew a fuse during a lithotripsy. After I paid $200 copay. The doctor couldn’t bust up my kidney stones. And put in a stent. I was left in a ton a pain and the doctor would not give me more pain medicine and he told me to go back to work the very next day. I was left in pain for a month before I could get a clearance from a heart doctor. No pain meds. After going back a month later, I had to pay another $400 dollar co-pay. The doctor didn’t care about my pain. He was arrogant and was only concerned with bragging about working at the base before becoming doctor. I don’t like him, and would not recommend him to anyone.
