The wait times are ridiculous. You can get here 30mins before your appointment and still not be seen until 1-2hrs after your appt. Then the dr is only in the room with you for less than 10mins.
I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS FACILITY AGAIN. THE DOCTOR AND NURSES WERE FINE ALTHOUGH THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO TELL ME ANYTHING I DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW. HOWEVER THEIR BILLING DEPT IS A TOTAL SCAM. THERE SEEMS TO BE TWO SIDES AND IF YOUR PAYMENT GOES TO THE WRONG SIDE THEY DO NOT CREDIT IT TO YOUR ACCOUNT. I KEEP GETTING BILLS, PAY THEM AND IT GOES TO THE WRONG SIDE SO I GET A REFUND AND ANOTHER BILL. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY TO PAY THE RIGHT SIDE.
pro: I recommend Dr Jenks. He seems to know what his doing. pro: Two nurses were helpful. con: Some nurses are dismissive. con: Time spent waiting after allotted appointment time has never been less than 30 minutes. con: Sometimes impossible to speak to anyone by phone. Sent to voicemail. con: Appointment request left on voicemail was ignored. con: Appointment request made through web portal was ignored.
Dr. Boyd is an awesome physician. Unfortunately, after you are an established patient, you get to see PAs on subsequent visits. On my second visit, I had a CT scan done. I then saw her PA, M, who told me that nothing had changed with the status of my kidneys (so I was fine, as we basically expected) but that I "had a tumor on my spine." I am not kidding--my wife was in the room with me. We were stunned and of the few questions that we could come up with, all her PA would say is "I don't know, my specialty is urology." Try Googling "tumor on your spine." By the time we got home, we pretty much had concluded that I had about 6 or fewer months to live. Fortunately, we asked for a copy of our records and there was *NOT* a tumor on my spine but rather a small bump that *MIGHT* be a compressed nerve, neoplasm, or a shadow. I wrote a genuinely thoughtful letter with three questions to Dr. Boyd that went unanswered. I got a second opinion during which I needed copies of the actual scans--not just the radiologist's report. At that point, I told the very kind young woman who gave me the CD with my scans that I would never be back and explained why. Three days later I received a voicemail from Dr. Boyd's office; but I never heard back from Dr. Boyd. The results of the second and third opinions for expert neurologists: there was nothing wrong with me at all. If there had been a tumor on my spine, I should have been told by a doctor, *NOT* a PA. Getting it wrong and being ignored regarding three simple questions was unprofessional and could have caused some serious consequences. Dr. Boyd may be a great physician, but if you are looking for a caring practice that is watching out for you, I suggest finding a different doctor.
I am writing this review on behalf of my father Mr. Charles Way and myself to acknowledge the exemplary services of the medical and office management staff. Dad comments often on how special the medical staff make him feel and I echo those sentiments with regards to the office managent staff as I attemp to navigate the financial aspects of his care. I would specifically like to acknowledge Ms. Nicole Pointer in the Finance Department for her assistance. She was knowledgeable, resourceful, patient and informative in addressing the financial needs of my dad and the psychological needs of his care taker (me). She releived a great deal of stress and provided me with direction as with progress forward with the ongoing care of Mr. Way being our collective goal.
