Giving a 2 cause while my surgery went smoothly i developed an infection i booked an appointment only to be told when i arrived that dr. Shanklin was no longer with that practise. I got no call before hand about him leaving. Saw some Russian woman who instructed me to put medical honey on it. It made it worse went to er put on antibiotics an was told not to return an find a general surgeon that was local. Ended up returning to the er after the weekend my infection was worse. I'm now on yet another antibiotic. It's still not looking any better. My advice stay away from Renewal MD now that Dr. Shanklin has left. I was really fighting not to give this a 1 star review but while shanklin was with them i felt welcome and not at all uncomfortable. Last time i was there i felt like i was being judged an i didnt feel welcome or comfortable at all.

I had breast aumentation by Dr Shanklin in 2015 and he recommended the dual plane placement. I’d consulted with 3 other surgeons who’d all recommended a lift, which I was trying to avoid. Dr. Shanklin felt confident that the dual plane placement with high profile implants would eliminate a need for the lift (and those ugly scars). I am happy to say that going with Dr. Shanklin and his approach was the best decision! They looked great when I had them done and still look great in 2019! Even my OB/GYN commented on how great of a job my surgeon did. I’m always excited to refer my friends to him and happy to hear how pleased they are with their results! I’ll be going back for any future cosmetic needs, for sure!

After multiple consultations with surgeons to correct my excessive skin issues after weight loss, Dr. Shanklin proved to be the most knowledgeable, communicative and forthright. He discussed all suggested procedures in a manner that was very understandable and did not suggest any procedures or services I did not need. He legitimately listened to my concerns and we created a perfect plan for me. The first of two procedures went great. His staff is truly caring and highly competent. The surgery center and office environment are very comfortable and clean and met all my needs. Even though I did not choose Renewal MD for the price, they were the best value for the scope of work planned. I would have chosen Dr. Shanklin and his team regardless of cost. I have chosen to get other treatments between my procedures and couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Dr. Shanklin and Renewal MD for everything, and for exceeding all of my expectations!

Dr. Shanklin is a great surgeon who cares about his patients needs. The consult with him went so well I scheduled my appointment 6 months ahead of time. I spoke with 4 other women who had the same surgery as I did and they all explained to me that I would be in so much pain after surgery that I wouldn't even be able to use the rest room alone. I haven't felt an ounce of pain since the surgery, and I'm crediting Dr.Shanklin and his team for their work. Thank you!

Dr. Shanklin is amazing! His nurse and patient coordinator are amazing! He did an amazing job and the faculty is outstanding. They made my experience very personal and hospitable from the initial consultation and even after surgery. I didn't feel like a number among many, but a special patient in care of an amazing team of experts!!!!
