I don’t understand the bad reviews regarding Dr. Rausch. He is to the point and not chit chatty. He has no southern charm. I think that is wonderful. When I go see a specialist I just need the facts. Tell me what we need to do and do it. He’s not unfriendly in any way. He’s just to the point and doesn’t engage in small talk. Neither do it but maybe that’s why I like him. He did a surgery for me a few years back and is about to do another one for a kidney stone that won’t pass. He showed genuine concern about my 3 days in the hospital, scheduled another CT of my abdomen tomorrow and then said I’ll need surgery. The office staff and medical staff are wonderful. The offices are always clean and organized. I’ve never had an issue when I’ve called them.
My name is Anita Zabnikar and I am not happy at all with the doctor I seen here on 7/30/2025. I was a new patient with issues concerning my kidneys because my kidney specialist diagnosed me with. They treated me but then referred me to Dr Rauch because of issues that only the urologist has to handle. This so-called kidney doctor never ask me about my history concerning my kidneys, never told me about my urine sample I gave when I got there, and not so many words called my kidney specialist a liar by telling me that my kidneys were fine and that I might have past a stone and that is the reason why my left kidney is swollen and said I only have maybe one or two and had to leave the room to go view my CT results. He was gone out of the room only 2 minutes then returned only to tell me that there is nothing wrong with my kidneys. I was only in his office as a new patient from start to finish for 30 minutes or less. I will not recommend this doctor at all. He treated me like he did not won’t to talk to me or anything and I do not or anyone needs a doctor that is like this. I have had kidney problems since I was 10 years old and I know when something is wrong and not right and it needs to be addressed and treated. I am not imagining things nor am I making things up and that is how I was being treated.
My mother-in-law was seen by Dr. Rauch and a prescription was to be called in to the Assisted Living Pharmacy, which did not take place. I called the office and was told that an electronic prescription was called in the Montgomery, AL. My mother-in-law is in an assisted living facility in Heflin, AL. I asked for a call back from the nurse, which I never received. After my phone call someone must have looked at her records and finally called the prescription into the correct pharmacy. I never received a call back and found out from the assisted living facility that my mother-in-law finally received the medicine. Very disappointed as I called 3 times and never received a call back. Cancelled follow-up appt.
Had a bad experience with one of the doctors in this practice, tried to get in with another Physician within this practice and was told this wasn’t allowed. Very poor patient care. I had a referral for a specific doctor, haven’t been to West Ga Urology in over 2 years and front office staff refused to allow a this change. I was told I was welcome to go to another practice. Which would be out of town since Tanner is the only one in this area. Shame on Tanner and this group, for not being more caring for their patients.
Wow, I’m big on customer service and everyone here was so cool and made me feel so comfortable. Additionally they were on time and I was in and out within an hour for my vasectomy. Appreciate the sense of humor and for yall just being regular people!!!
