When I arrived to Gastroenterology Associates of Athens the medical professionals were wonderful and the procedure went well. However, there was no real person I could talk to, to answer my questions the day of my prep. I was sent to an AI robot and then a Call center, when I asked to talk to a real person. The gentleman at the foreign call center just told me to follow the written instructions. I felt helpless. I resorted to saying I was from a physicians office so I could speak with a real person.

I had the worst experience of scheduling an appointment at this place. I was referred for an MD and my appointment was scheduled for May 19 but now when I called today to confirm, I was told that my appointment was scheduled with one of her PAs. Why? Why do you change things on your own? When I asked to reschedule, I was put on hold and then the person just vanished. Also, it was close to 5pm. That is there closing time. Why do you want to employ such cheap tactics in order to avoid dealing with people on the phone? You could have simply asked to call tomorrow.

Horrible service! Super rude workers. I was trying to get an appointment then the woman on phone was super rude to me. I understand I’m not a native English speaker, but she was super impatient and used improper language to me.

What an amazing Doctor and staff. Dr.Shepard and his staff are so professional, caring and knowledgeable. They are great at what they do. I had my first colonoscopy. From the time I checked in until it was all over the staff was very tentative to my care. The staff explained everything from A to Z. I was so nervous they made me feel like family, they reassured me, made me laugh and comfort me. Dr. Shepard talked to me before the procedure and afterwards as well. Then after the procedure one of his staff members walked me to the care holding on to me to make sure I didn't fall and get to the car safely. I wish I could give you more than 5 stars. Thank you for the gentle care.
