My existing urologist couldn't schedule me until late February. Dr. A. Hiffa's staff worked me in the next day. So glad I made that call. Dr. Hiffa, I found, is first class, a great listener and got me out of trouble.
I After 1-2 Years of working with this facility, as well as with Dr. Harry Rutland, and after pleading with them to work with me and my family, I myself along with many other doctors have to say, this is one of the worst medical practices I have ever seen in my life, both in the customer service, the operations, and the operators. What was at first simply just a kidney stone removal, ended up costing me almost my life, horrendous finances, and a condition that may never return to normal. This doctor, and this team, have devastated me and my health. 2 Failed attempts to remove a kidney stone, with laser, and standard operations. The scarring and damage my kidney has suffered, has spiraled my life and health into hell. My kidney function is medically considered failing, and no other surgery or operation after could truly heal or salvage whatever remaining kidney function there could have been. Imagine, a kidney stone removal, leading to practically kidney failure in the near future. Numerous Doctors have agreed and condemned such practice and consequences for what took place in my case. I am officially now in line for a kidney transplant, with unfortunately years to wait for one due to my age, and all this would have never happened had Dr. Rutland and his team, properly operated for something as small as a kidney stone. I have pleaded with them to assist me to some extent for such terrible practice, and I've received nothing but excuses. Please, if you are considering this doctor, or this practice, run.
This is the worst medical office ever. 1. As other reviews say, the doctors here rush seeing patients and don’t really spend time understanding their problems. My dad saw Dr Kriteman and was seen for less than 5 min. 2. For the second follow up appointment, I called the office to cancel because my dad was not feeling well and might be having COVID symptoms. They charged us $250 no show fee although I called to cancel. My dad is 72 years old. I called them several times, but no one ever picked up the phone. The hold time was forever. I left them a voicemail. No call back. Extremely unprofessional. Would not recommend anyone coming here. Does not seem like the doctors or staff care about patients here.
This office was hours behind in the surgery center. They should have rescheduled me for another date or had the courtesy not to rush the procedure and recovery for me. Additionally, the front office staff can't seem to submit prescriptions. Previous patients ( while we were there ) complained that their pharmacy had a problem with the sent prescriptions and they need to be sent again. Lo and behold, we had the same problem, I spent roughly 4 days in pain because the office refused to follow up with the pharmacy, me, or my husband on updating the prescription. I was told it was going to be escalated to the office manager and never heard back so I recovered from this surgery in pain until finally tylenol/motrin helped. While I was rushed through recovery, surgery was rushed as well, the above is quite possibly the worst and it seems the office has a policy not to fix their mistakes or my pain was shrugged off as not serious enough for a response. ** Also, the doctor/nurse that later took out my stent = they're amazing **
I cannot say enough about Dr. Rutland and his staff. I was assigned him during an ER visit. He saved my life and I had several follow up surgeries. He is very kind and knowledgeable. The kind part is rare these days. His staff with Corrie his NP and the scheduler Ally were just great. Most of work was done in the ER, but the last surgeries were minimal and done on site in Roswell. The staff were great and I never had one issue. Everything is laid out properly as far as visits and medications. All questions were always answered within 24 hours if I reached out on their patient portal. If you ever need anything done I wouldn’t hesitate to use him.
