Dr. Matthew's use to be amazing. He use to advocate for pain patients and treatments of medication. But now Dusty runs the show. And Matthew's seems to be the little dog instead of the actual doctor anymore. Ive been on the same medication for 10 years. I weigh 100 lbs more than when I first started. (And yes, weight matters. What is the first thing they do when giving IV meds? They find out your weight to see how much medication to give you)..? I have multiple extremely painful conditions...they kept lying saying they couldn't go up on my medication 5 years into it. Recently they dropped my meds down due to the MME changing. The MME is a recommendation, not a law. And should be viewed as a guideline. The highest MME is 90mg a day, not 50 on the low end. And they shouldnt JUST be giving people with cancer and lupus higher MMEs they should be basing it off of the patient and the conditions of the patient including their life and the amount of pain they go through daily. They no longer treat pain or treat the patient...they bow down to the government. Dr. Matthew's use to be our savior in the pain community. He fought for us. Now he barely sees his pain patients and let's Dusty kick us while we are down. Dusty says theyre scared they'll be audited but I ask why does it matter? If youre doing as you should, it shouldnt matter. As long as you are basing the dosage on the patients conditions, you would be just fine. But because the shots dont work long, and we aren't paying a thousand dollars or more a shot, they dont care about those of us who refuse the shots. Those of us who suffer in silence raising kids and trying to get by every day of our life, with the medicine being the one thing that let's us go outside and play with our kids for a few minutes at a time, let's us cook them supper and live a somewhat normal life. Shame on the doctors who stopped doctoring. Why not find a different profession if you aren't going to take care of us the way you would have 10 years ago?

Dr. Mathews and Staff are wonderful. I would recommend them to my family and friends. Dr. Mathews cares a great deal about his patients and its hard to find that anymore.

When I say Dr. Joe is the best, he is the best! I had the worst back pain, but because of Dr. Joe, my pain is gone. He’s the most beautiful person I ever met. If you need a good doctor he is the best. Thank you for all you have done for me Dr. Joe.

I am very pleased with the services of Dr. Joe and his staff. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and caring. I can't say enough about how great Dr. Joe has been to me. He's always so upbeat and friendly and really takes time to explain what my needs are and even keeps me laughing when in pain and going through a procedure. That's definitely a first for me and I'm so thankful that I was referred to him and Nexus Pain Center. Dr. Joe, you and your staff are the best!!!

The staff and Dr. Matthew is a Awesome group of professionals.Dr. Matthews cares and listens to your complaints and really tries to find the right treatment for that person. He has told me many times that "I'm a difficult one" but I know it's all in fun, He does his best to lift up every ones spirts, despite the pain they may be in. He is a genuine Dr. with such a caring soul! He staff is great as well, always willing to help any way that they can! The office is ALWAYS clean, friendly, and very caring. The wait time is non-existent. I'm truly happy with the way I get treated here. The most important thing is, I feel that they really listen to me, and does everything they can to help with "all of my cronic pain", unlike some Dr's who I don't feel like they take me serious about my pain. Great Job Nexus Pain Center! Keep up the great work! And to you Dr. Matthews.... I can't Thank you enough for taking the time to really help and find the BEST treatment for me.
