My clinical experience and front desk experience is 5 stars hands down. The staff was pleasant and professional. HOWEVER, I am giving them an overall rating of 3 because of their billing department. First, I want to say "SHAME ON THE BILLING DEPARTMENT" for tainting the overall experience. When I had my back surgery not only did I provide my insurance information, but they also made a copy of my insurance card. They billed my insurance company for $57k, my insurance company denied the claim because they needed additional clinical information. Instead of sending the information they requested they billed Medicare. At no time did ever indicate in any way that I had Medicare and of course they denied. This caused my insurance company to hold the claim in pending status until they could verify, with me, if I had additional insurance. I called the SurgCenter to inform them that I never indicated that I had Medicare, they replied they sent Medicare the claim because my insurance company denied. I told them it was denied because they was asking for more information. Are you kidding me!!! Meanwhile the SurgCenter sends me a bill claiming my insurance company has now paid $52k and I owed them $5k. I found this interesting considering the EOB said the claim was denied and I owe them $0. I called my insurance company who confirmed they had not paid any amount and since I verified, I didn't have Medicare as a secondary insurance they would send the claim to be adjusted. I asked my insurance to call the SurgCenter to find out why I was being billed. Donna said since the claim was denied they was billing me for payment, but she didn't know how they came up with $5k. WOW is all I can say.
I’m the past they have been wonderful. I am scheduled for 8:45 tomorrow. As an insulin dependent diabetic that is very late. I fear I will go very low sugar. In the past they have scheduled me for 7am or 7:30. This is a real problem and I hope they still reschedule me. As any diabetic knows, lows are much worse than highs.
Solemn waiting area, outdated decor . Horribly uncomfortable waiting room chairs! Surgical staff is 5 star. Waiting time can be up to 2+ hrs!
I was there on Thursday the 21st of November for a left knee procedure. My experience was outstanding never thought it would turned out so good! The staff Cheyenne, Kim, Richie, Maddie Dr. Francis, Colleen and my wonderful Dr. Cerminara were amazing. I’m doing great doing little things around the house already. Looking forward to get better to do my right knee so I can go back to the gym. Thank you everyone who participated in my surgery and recovery. You guys are amazing! God bless you all!
I just had back surgery yesterday. I will say Cheree and Matt RNs were absolutely amazing. They stayed with me until 7pm. They were wonderful. Knowledgeable, empathetic, humorous, and just awesome nurses and people. I hope their supervisors and the nurses themselves read this. Also, Dr. Putney is the best! Anesthesiologist explained everything, and accommodated my concerns of nausea and getting sick. Even though this back surgery is not joke, I had the best, professional, real talk staff. Thank you, J. Perkins.
