I have been here 3 times for different surgical procedures. The surgeons I've had, Dr. Jason Capra twice and Dr. Matthew Mai and all of their staff have been nothing but friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure to answer all questions and the go above and beyond to make you feel their compassion for their patients. Would definitely recommend this surgical center for anyone who is able to have outpatient surgery. Thank you for actually caring about your patients!
Had a left hip replacement by Dr. Mai and his team. The facility was top notch and the staff from the receptionist to the anesthesiologist was amazing. Highly recommend using this facility for any outpatient surgery you may need. The Best
I’m leaving my review for the anesthesiologist which I believe her name was Britney. I did my prescreen the week prior with the RN pertaining to my medical history and all my medical allergies, I was very, very clear bcs there is only a few antibiotics I can take. Upon checking in they didn’t have this information accurate so I went back over it with the new RN, Julie. The anesthesiologist came in to confirm it but for whatever reason it still wasn’t accurate. The anesthesiologist was telling me that even with my allergies I could take a certain med they had bcs they had nothing else they could give me - I was very explicit - I said no bcs it was in the same family of drugs I am allergic too - I’d rather not take anything bcs I’m allergic to the entire family of meds as I explicitly explained - she was very argumentative and said that’s not her experience with other patients. I went on to give examples as to other surgeries I’d had in the past when I tried taking other derivatives of that medicine class and the allergic reactions I’d experienced, one of which was 2 months ago. I felt I was having to be very defensive in explaining that I’m highly allergic and each time the reaction is worse. As a medical professional she should know when you expose someone the risk is greater and could lead to anaphylaxis. The anesthesiologist kept coming back and kept confusing what I could take and wasn’t allergic too and my red band (allergy band) still had the wrong allergy info on it. I’ve never had a medical provider argue with me or want to take a chance with allergy history, ever.
Excellent, professional service. Had never heard of POSC. Being in the medical field, I was skeptical in having a major surgery there. Would definitely recommend their facility. Shout out to Dr. Giovanini, Sean Kirby, PA, Jerry Rose,CRNA, Pre-op RN ? Lauren, and best of all Devon, Post-op RN and staff. You all went above and beyond.
Outstanding! Excellent! Professional! Genuinely courteous and sincerely caring! Amazing! Highly recommended! The diligent actions of the staff and their incredible team efforts, along with the expertise and bedside manner of Dr. Nilssen made my decision to have my procedure performed by Panhandle Outpatient Surgery quite easy.
