Yes I had to wait for 30 minutes to get in. But I'll tell you this when I got in we moved right along I don't think through the eye exams and everything that I was in there including selecting my frames 1 hour. So yes I would recommend them very comfortable setting in the lounge areas that they have the place is huge plenty of seating plenty of TV plenty of things to read they're great people very people oriented I would say they are a World Class operation. Thank you God bless John A Mackey
The Eye Center has been my eye provider for many years now and I am very satisfied. I have had both eye lens replaced successfully with no problems afterwards. Recently I had a blood vessel rupture and they got me in right away. I highly recommend Eye Center of North Florida for any or all of your eye needs. They are great. Tak care of um as ya gut unly to!! Thanks RSPT: Pete Leavrns
I came into the eye center because I had a chemical burn in my eye, and I was really anxious and uncomfortable. From the moment I met Dr. Long, I felt safe and taken care of. She is truly one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. Dr. Long was extremely professional, warm, welcoming, and patient. She listened to me, validated how I was feeling, and explained everything in a way that made me feel calm instead of scared. She didn’t rush me at all and you can genuinely tell she cares about her patients. I left feeling relieved, cared for, and honestly so grateful. Thank you Dr. Long for treating me with so much compassion and kindness during a stressful situation. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing eye doctor.
Absolutely top notch service today!! I have struggled to find a good eye doc for years. Dr. Anderson took her time and answered my questions thoroughly. The biggest bright spot was my assistant technician, Toni!! She absolutely listened to my concerns and my crazy descriptions of how I see the world. And let me reset, readjust, refocus, until I was comfortable and happy with my choice between 1... Or.... 2... Hehehe. Excellent Customer Service is a VERY rare creature nowadays. I appreciate wholeheartedly the old school care, genuine concern, compassion, and laughing empathy, that Toni carries herself with. Really wish that level of service wasn't such a lost art. It makes a day brighter, and especially at a doctor's office; a whole lot easier to deal with. Thankyou Toni, you are a treasure! 🥰 I am now officially done searching for a great Opthalmologist!! Dr. Anderson and Toni, made me a client for life. 😎
I had an eye exam on 11/4/25 at 1:45pm. I didn't get seen until around 2:45pm. Since this was my first time here, I did not have a previous prescription, so the technician used my current glasses to determine what my prescription was (this is important for later). She dilated my eyes, only to have to have them dilated again by the Ophthalmologist because it wasn't done right the first time. My prescription for my lenses was updated, and I picked out new frames. I didn't leave the place until around 4:45pm. I got a text message on 11/18 at 4:48pm (I LOVE that they text you after closing hours to pick up your glasses). When I picked them up, I knew right away that something was wrong. It was like I was looking through magnifying lenses, they were way too overpowered. A gentleman assisted me and took my old glasses back to another room with the new ones to determine the prescription. He said my old prescription was -0.50 and -0.75, and now it's -2.00, -2.00. In what world is that possible?! He said to wear them for an hour a day until I get used to them. I called back the next day after obtaining the prescription from my old eye center. There is no way in three years (the last time I had a vision exam was in 2021) that I went from my old prescription to this new one. I tried calling multiple times, but I was sent to voicemail each time. I called the next two days and received the same issue, leaving voicemails each time. Finally someone got back to me. They rescheduled my eye exam for 12/4 at 3:15pm. I was seen at 4pm, where the tech said that the previous tech wrote my old prescription down wrong which is why my "new" prescription is so off. They updated my prescription correctly this time, but now I had to get my lenses redone. I got a text at 12/19 saying they were done (again they texted me past closing time). While most of the staff are very friendly and easy to work with, including the Ophthalmologist who looked at my eyes, I will not be back. It's very clear I am just a number, not a name with a face. The amount of time I waited for my appointment, only to then have to reschedule and wait a second time is ridiculous. For them to have botched up my prescription that badly as well...I don't care if my vision insurance says they're the "premiere" place to go. I'll take my time/business somewhere where I'm more than just a number.
