I never bother to write a review on this facility but their billing system somehow wants me to pay double the price after I have already pay them before and now charging me fees because I chose to ignore the stupid bill that is the same amount I have paid months ago through carepayment party and they’ are saying that it is another group that I owe. This is so confusing these medical billing system is trying to get me confused in order for them to force me to pay the same amount bill that’s already been issued long time AGO!! So please be aware of their stupid billing system is not worth to go here and they will charge you lots of thousands for just one FINGER. Do your research well people. Good luck!

I was hesitant and almost canceled many times because I never met Dr. Newsom before. I have had surgery many times before, but I usually know my surgeon well before they operate on me. I am thankful that I did some research in order to reassure myself and took a leap of faith! Dr. Newsom is very friendly, knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. He is patient and willing to answer questions and explain things. The nurses were amazing! They made me feel calm and safe! Excellent nursing team! In the operating room, the Nurse and Surgical Tech explained everything to me and told me what they were doing step by step. The music was positive and relaxing! The announced Dr. Newsom's entry and Dr. Newsom told me what he was doing step by step and I could not believe that the Preparation took longer than the surgery! Dr. Newsom made sure I was completely numb, and he did not hurt me at all! The actual surgery did not hurt at all! The post op instructions were excellent! I did have a question and Dr. Newsom texted me back within a couple of hours. Then he called me to check on me before he went home for the holiday. Dr. Newsom really does care for his patients! After surgery, while I was trying to get dressed, I could not put my bra on or brush my hair. Nurse Ashley went above and beyond by brushing my hair for me and helping me get dressed! The entire staff was friendly, kind, compassionate and made a scary experience pleasant! The only thing that could be improved in the long wait in the waiting room. The patient before me complained she was waiting over an hour and a half to be taken back and prepped for surgery. I had to wait at least 45-60 minutes to be taken back. Make sure you bring a book or something to keep you busy while you wait. Once I was taken back, things went very quickly, and I was home in no time! I would highly recommend this surgery center!

update, 17 days after surgery, money refunded The staff is AMAZING. Thank you for that. I really want to give the Staff ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars. However, The Downtown Surgery Center required us pay $846.72 prior to the hand surgery. Our out patient ASC Co pay is only $250. After confirming this with our insurance company, I called the surgery center to request the difference back, the credit department told me "when your insurance pays us we will refund it back to you via your payment method." I do not think that is how it is supposed to work. I think 3 stars is generous considering they are sitting on my $596.72.

My mother had an 8 o'clock appt which we arrived RIGHT on time. The Doctor was about 45 mins late. We were not called into the back for prepping until almost 9 o'clock. The nurses prepped my mom and she was given an IV as well but was forced to have the IV in her for almost 2 hours because she was not taken back for surgery until 10:45. I find this place extremely unprofessional for one my mother was told not to eat up to 8 hours before and we had a group of nurses brag about being treated to breakfast. I find it rude to talk about food when there's patients who can't even eat because of surgery. Also, we overheard the doctor talking bad about a patient that cancelled and left (most likely due to not wanting to wait, which I don't blame her at all) The doctor's have no respect for anyone's time but their own. Nurse Cally was the sweetest most understanding person in the office.

I don't know what is with the bad reviews on here. I had am amazing experience from start to finish here. At check in, the office staff was extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The two prep nurses, Jeff and Peach, were phenomenal and I really can't say enough good things about the pre-op care I had. They alleviated my nerves, were compassionate, thoughtful, and very, very reassuring. Not to mention, Peach was full of energy and I didn't feel like just another patient that Friday afternoon. The facility was spotless and clean, private and comfortable. From warm blankets to soft pillows. The Operating room RN, Shereen, I think was her name, was also delightful, compassionate, and explained everything to me. When I woke up, Mary took good care of me and Jeff was still there to say good-bye. It was a wonderful experience, from start to finish and if I could go back and give them all hugs, I would! Surgery is nerve-wracking and this is the kind of care everyone should expect.
