I recently had my procedure done there (to which i was terrified about) and then came in the best nurse i’ve ever had, miss Tammy. She made me feel welcomed and loved and definitely helped me shake the nerves that I had. She’s the sweetest!

Everyone was nice, informative and timely, the surgery started on time. Nurse Valerie was super sweet and funny before the operation which helped ease my nerves. Post-op nurse Julie was such a sweetheart and made the outpatient experience great!

My mom just recently had cataract surgery here and I can not speak highly enough of this center. The entire experience, from the moment we walked in, was fantastic. The staff was friendly and efficient, and Kelly her nurse was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to address all our questions and concerns before going back to the OR. Kelly also got my moms IV on the first stick which was impressive, because her veins always tend to roll. Once it was time to leave Mirjana was so informative going over all mom’s discharge instructions that I left the surgery center feeling confident in the care my mother received.

This would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the nurse Tiffany who intentionally causes unnecessary pain and suffering by making up her own procedures. Details: eye surgery, nurse to add eye numbing drops, eye antibiotic drops then add very painful dilating drops. This nurse (short, African American, large glasses) says she likes to do the painful one first so that people aren’t scared of the other drops. So she has an awful habit of making up her own rules so she can cause unnecessary pain and suffering to the patients that are already there and nervous for their surgeries. ****this is severely painful My mother who has had four children naturally (no meds), and has an incredibly high pain tolerance, she says it was the absolute worst pain she’s ever experienced. I spoke to the supervisor that confirmed she should not be doing this but says it’s a “teaching moment” however, I believe teaching moments are for nursing school or for customer service, not for MEDICAL PROCEDURES. This woman is a hazard and clearly psychotic, she needs to be fired. Everyone else is amazing except the management if they keep her there after her many egregious actions. UPDATE: I received a call from a supervisor in charge of the one I previously spoke with. This time, I feel like appropriate action will be taken to ensure this never happens again.

This rating is based on the staff not the surgery. I usually don’t give reviews but the nurses/front desk attendants could have been a lot nicer. From the time we arrived they seemed aggravated and in a hurry and not supportive or friendly. Nobody introduced themselves or smiled which doesn’t ease anyone’s mind who is about to undergo surgery for the first time. Nobody informed us on the process or what to expect nor how long it will take. We just felt like an inconvenience for being there or asking any questions. That could have easily been a way better experience with a different attitude given to patients and loved ones. Other than that the place was clean and surgery went fine.
