I had surgery to replace the battery / controller for my Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator at the Surgery Center of Naples on Friday, 21 November 2025. From the moment I walked in and met with the in processing receptionist, Tracey, who exhibited such a warm and professional demeanor, I knew I was in good hands. After being called by the pre admission nurse, Elidiana, and upon entering the surgical center it was like a beehive of activity. My prep nurse was very kind and caring and was excellent in being gentle as possible while administering my IV. She then proceeded to review my medication and allergies. While the prep nurse was checking other medical items on my chart, my Boston Science technician, Holly Bevan-Stieler, arrived and copied my current programs and said that she will meet me again in recovery to add some new programs which may provide greater pain relief. After she was finished, I was visited by the anesthesiologist as well as his nurse followed by the operating room nurse, Wendy. They made me feel very comfortable with their attention to detail and thoroughness of my medical history and my pending surgical procedure. Lastly, I was visited by my Neurosurgeon, Dr. Mark Gerber. After reviewing my chart, he went over the sequences of events that would occur once I entered the surgical room. His calming nature tremendously helped with my anxiety on the pending surgical procedure. Dr. Gerber’s is an amazing Neurosurgeon who really cares about his patient’s physical and mental well being. Upon being wheeled into the surgical center the atmosphere was very sophisticated. Dr. Gerber directed his staff like a musical conductor. Next thing I was in the recovery room and the prep nurse was next to me while softly telling me to wake up. After about 5 minutes, she asked if I would like something to eat and/or drink. Lastly, my Boston Science technician returned and spent approximately 20 plus minutes loading and adjusting programs for my spinal cord stimulator. At this point, the Operating Room Nurse returned with a wheelchair and told my wife to move our car next to the entrance. This surgery center is staffed with truly compassionate and professional staff. I highly recommend the Surgery Center of Naples for any surgical need. I also want to acknowledge that Dr. Gerber and his surgical team were simply incredible.

I recently had a biopsy procedure at the Surgical Center of Naples and want to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team. Everyone there made what could have been a stressful day feel calm, professional, and reassuring. Special thanks to Dr. Guttman, my surgeon, for his skill, care, and confidence throughout the process; Nurse Denise from Pre-Op and Pre-Assessment for her kindness and preparation; Brynn RN in Recovery for her excellent post-care; Dr. Hunt and René from the Anesthesia Team for keeping me comfortable and at ease; Tracey at the front desk for her friendly welcome; and Jaileen in Pre-Op for her caring attention and smile. Thank you all for your compassion and professionalism — it truly made a difference.

From the first person at check-in, all the way through each person that Cared for me was Exceptional in every way.
