I’ve had several procedures at this facility in the past several weeks. I was very much impressed with the staff who attended to me. They were competent & I felt genuinely cared that I was comfortable. I left believing they were committed to their patients’ safety & their wellbeing. Sadly based on my experiences, the majority of the healthcare in Brevard is below average! It was refreshing to see competence & genuine commitment to a patient’s healthcare!

SCHEDULING IS AWFUL. Went there 3 times for pain injections, the first one was about 40 minutes past my scheduled time, the second one was 57 minutes past my scheduled time and the third one was 3 hours and 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment times, some of the people waiting appeared to have the same appointment time. No one came out to address all the people waiting to see the doctor, talk about bad customer service. Once your name was called, you did receive good service. They sent me a survey the first time and then no more surveys, I got the impression they did not want to know how they were providing service to their patients. This place needs professional help.

Every person you meet at the Surgery Center gives you their name, informs you what they will be doing for you/what their role is in your care and puts you completely at ease. They never stop asking you to identify yourself, making sure you know what procedure you are having, and who is your doctor, and they never just talk among themselves, in front of patients. I think that is a big downfall in most hospitals/med.surg facilities, mostly ignoring the patients. 5 stars for all the employees, and the.care they give. Eileen

After have my three series of Epidural injections; I must say that my overall experience has been great. The first visit took long but the next two made up for it. All staff at this surgical center are Amazing and I highly recommend this center.

WHAT TO EXPECT. The building is not in the best place in town, but fairly easy to find. Parking is in the rear and there are plenty of Handicapped Spaces available. The procedure being done was a Facet Joint Injection and it requires no solids or fluids for 8 hours if you are having anesthesia. You are required to have a ride if having anesthesia. The waiting room was fairly crowded, small, and cold. The receptionists were decent (probably overworked). The wait time in the lobby was about 15 minutes. The nurses were extremely kind, compassionate, and empathetic. You could tell they took their jobs seriously and cared for their patients; explained what to expect to both my father and I. With anesthesia, the procedure took a little under two hours. If your ride doesn't stay, the nurse will call when the procedure is over and the patient is in "recovery phase". Make sure your ride is 15-20 minutes away. There is a parking spot right next to the entrance to pick up the patient who has undergone the procedure and they will wheel him/her out to the vehicle. They will follow up the next day to ask questions and gauge how effective the injection worked towards alleviating the pain.
