The surgical center needs to update their technology. Any other surgical center provides the caregiver/driver with updated information regarding the progress of the patient and/or allows them to be with the patient during pre-surgical prep area or recovery area. Why would surgical center teach discharge instructions only to the patient who just received conscious sedation medications? Front desk does not provide any information about patient progress. Care provided to the patient seemed good.

I am going to have surgery with them on the 17th and they don't know about it. I am soooo scared! I had the surgery and it was the most wonderful experience of my life. They were all very attentive to every detail and it was a total success. I am now ready for the next on the 24th! I told them that I had gastric problems and couldn't stay until late in the afternoon without eating anything. They don't care whatsoever! Today I had my second surgery and it was a success. Not a bit of pain. They treated me like a queen!

Nursing staff was top notch. Care was top notch but the lady who called to inform me of what I owe before surgery called only 1 week prior to inform me I had to pay right at $500 out of pocket and it had to be paid before surgery. I work in education and do NOT have the just lying around. She was hateful and rude and wanted to know why I didn’t have it. It’s none of her business. She then proceeded to call my doctor and tell the office I wouldn’t pay it and to cancel my surgery. I NEVER said that and she had NO right to call! I told her I would work it out. They need to call at least a month before! Surgery had been scheduled for close to 2 months!

the care was great but they need to just have some nice music in the waiting room instead of a horrible tv show. Most people on either on their phones or tablets. PLUS why tell you to be there an hr before your doctors appointment. This second time I waited for 2 1/2 hrs and was only called back when I asked what time it was and stated that I had waited for over 2 hrs.

Reading reviews from 4 years ago the facility was clean etc. well that was 4 years not so much now. Going to a health care facility to have eye surgery you would expect it to be clean it was not... in the waiting entrance area, furniture is worn and old ...my husband skipped the coffee pot. There was paper over the windows of the exit doors and a hand written sign. The post op instructions had spelling errors. Really unprofessional not what you should expect when going to a place for surgery. You would think with all the people going thru the center they could afford to have blinds not paper at the windows, professional signs and someone would check to make sure the post op instructions didn't have spelling errors. And clean appearance as you walk in the door. The staff was very nice...the good part, but overall not a comforting experience and if I had a choice I would not have gone back for my second eye...but had to get them both done. We did complain because we felt it only fair to be honest with how we felt there, hope they will listen and clean the place up and bring some professionalism to the facility. We have a friend who waited in her car for her husband because she would not wait in the waiting room....?? They can do better.....
