I was concerned after reading recent reviews, but my experience at South Broward Endoscopy today (12/30/25) was 5 stars. I had my first colonoscopy, just a screening, with Dr. Stengel. The nurse who prepped me was Althea, and she did a fantastic job placing the IV, making small talk, and putting me at ease. She was very kind and patient. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of any of the other nurses or assistants, but they were all great as well. A snack and drink are provided after the procedure, and I was happy to have a vegan option (Hippeas). Dr. Stengel went over my results with me right away, which was really reassuring and much appreciated. The facility looked and smelled clean to me, and everyone was professional and helpful. A previous reviewer mentioned that the waiting room "needs help," but it seemed to me just like any other waiting room other than all the signs that stated that females need to ask first before using the restroom. If you're as bewildered by that directive as I was, the staff is required to administer pregnancy tests (protocol before anesthesia), and so obviously they need urine for that. If you're 50, on birth control pills (as HRT), menopausal, and have a husband with a vasectomy, you may think that you will be exempt from peeing in a cup, but you're wrong. Sigh. Anyway, no complaints. If you're having a routine colonoscopy that's covered by your insurance, I definitely recommend this place and Dr. Stengel.

I recently had a procedure at South Broward Endoscopy, and I can honestly say the entire experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm, organized, and incredibly professional. Dr. Mishiev was outstanding—thorough, calming, and very clear in explaining everything before and after the procedure. His confidence and bedside manner made me feel completely at ease. The nurses were amazing as well. Every one of them was caring, patient, and attentive, making sure I was comfortable at every step. You can tell they truly care about their patients. A special thank-you to the anesthesiologists and their team. They explained everything in detail, checked in with me repeatedly, and made the whole process smooth and anxiety-free. Overall, South Broward Endoscopy runs like a well-coordinated team, and I felt safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. Highly recommended for anyone needing an endoscopic procedure.

Have had quite a few colonoscopies as a result of cancer. Was a little concerned at first because the waiting area really needs help and soon but cannot say enough positive things once inside. The people, even ones not taking care of me were comforting, attentive, professional and worked to put me at ease. The important part of the facility was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Of course Dr. Maratchi was great. Came highly recommended. Hoping this is my last time. Lobby is only reason I didn't give it a 5 rating.

Used to be great, now they are just another big business, rip-off center. This is the office my gastroenterologist works out of, and we scheduled an endoscopy for GERD. We were told at the time it would be billed as a Specialist visit and paid our co-pay. Months later, we get a first bill from their anesthesiologist. Then, a few months later, one from them for $500 for outpatient surgical facility services not covered by the insurance. We were never informed that our doctors' offices were now a surgical center with hospital-related billings. We resubmitted it under appeal with the insurance company and notified SOUTH BROWARD ENDOSCOPY LLC about this. Even though it took them 5 months to send us a bill, and we immediately told them it was under appeal with the insurance company (and provided them with the appeal number), they sent us to collections 30 days after the invoice date.
