I just have to say, this was such an amazing experience. My wife and I had our first child here on January 25th, and it was a breeze. The labor nurses were amazing at ensuring my wife’s comfort! Even my own. After the delivery our baby boy had to be taken into the NICU and it was also a smooth process. The NICU staff were patient with us and helped me learn all the best tricks to making childcare easier. They took great care of our son and did an amazing job ensuring the medical safety of not only our child but other parents children too. The postpartum nurses were great too! Lactation came down a few times to ensure a smooth breast feeding process. The food was overall pretty good as well! Our son is now 2 weeks old and thriving. Thank you to the St. Francis hospital staff for ensuring a safe, healthy, comfortable delivery. Unfortunately there were too many nurses and doctors for us to remember the names of but the few I can remember off the top of my head were Alexis(NICU), Hailey(NICU), Sheryl(Labor), Halie(Postpartum), Brenda(Lactation). You guys are amazing and so are the others that aren’t listed! I recommend anyone expecting a child to come to St. Francis and rest assured that you are in great hands. If your stressed or in need of help their case workers are also amazing. They can help you get lined up for tons of useful and helpful resources the state or community has to offer!
I came to St. Francis Hospital for surgery. Dr. Galloway and his staff were amazing. The nurse that attended me was so nice and helpful. The anaesthesiologist let me know what he was going to do and I felt I was in very good hands. I love Dr. Galloway and his staff!
St. Francis was incredible during the births of my children. They also took great care of my family member at the end of her life. My fiancé and I wanted that loved one to be a part of our special day, so we arranged to get married beside her bed. When the hospital found out, nutrition services sent a cake and fruit trays. Although our loved one passed just hours after we got married, they were wonderful through the process and helped her feel comfortable. We are so grateful for the entire staff. Thank you so much for all you do.
Honestly, I don’t know where to begin and I’ve never written a review like this before but I couldn’t just let the slide I was seen yesterday for a fall three large dogs took me out from behind and I landed on my right hand and elbow and my left shoulder and my head hit the door behind me. I’m 55 and I have herniated disc, degenerative disc disease and bulging disc in my neck and low back so when my neck started hurting in car and I got dizzy and couldn’t move my left hand I decided the er I was passing was my best move. At ER I explained what happened I was in tears. I had driven myself there because I left the house where the accident happened and I was right by the hospital so I just decided to go instead of stay on the road in agony. I saw Gary Seifert, NP. He very much treated me like I was not in real pain and that I was not really hurt when I explained to him about my neck issues and that I was a little nervous because my neck was hurting and that my left shoulder, and head had hit door also I couldn’t lift my arm, and my hand was visibly swollen on the other side, and my wrist had a knot on it and bruising. I added pictures. He took x-rays of my right wrist and hand and said nothing was fractured and wanted to send me home. I immediately asked if he would consider more imaging of my neck and shoulder because it was getting worse as time went on and he finally came back and agreed to give me x-rays so I had the x-rays of neck and shoulder he came back and told me that there was arthritis and some muscle spasm and that that was all they saw and there was no need to do any further imaging. I explained to him that that didn’t show soft tissue and that a lot of my problems were only visible on CT scan and I just wanted the reassurance that nothing else had happened to my neck and spine. I was discharged sent home in agony with possible concoction. I did not wanna leave. I was in pain I was feeling dizzy and my neck and shoulder where getting worse every minute. I was very hurt and I came home and I thought I did not get treated fairly and I wasn’t gonna make a peep but then today I went over my after summary review and the lies that were told in that review by this provider, are ridiculous. I mean it claims that he saw no swelling in my wrist and hand and that he performed a pressure therapy to see where my pain was. He never touched me. The only place he touched was my spine and that wasn’t exactly where I was hurting at the time it was more down the side and into my shoulder. I am attaching pictures to show you what my wrist and arm looked like when he is saying that there was no visible signs of trauma and also the report said that I did not mention hitting my head. Luckily, the nurses and the x-ray staff were all wonderful and absolutely tried to be kind helpful and one of the girls did write in her report that I had said that I hit my head and that I hit my shoulder on the door so there is written trail of what happened. I just feel like people need to know this. I think the hospital needs to know this I think this is incompetence and I will not go back to this hospital and I don’t advise anybody else to either.
I’ve seen two doctors from this organization over the last decade, but am treated like a new patient each time I schedule a visit. So that’s annoying to start with. This time, I tried calling to schedule first but was informed by an automated message that my wait time would be around 10 min. So I used the online scheduling tool. Later the same day, I got a message that they didn’t receive my information and to call them at a different number than what’s listed online. After calling the number provided in the message (which didn’t go to scheduling) and then being transferred to scheduling; the woman who answered began our conversation with “ugh, you scheduled online didn’t you? You didn’t fill anything out, this is just a complete mess!!” (I filled out everything the online form asked for so feeling caught off guard and starting to feel a bit defensive). She asked me where I was born (why!? She didn’t have an answer, but was annoyed that I wanted to know why) and got my insurance info. Then she snaps, “I need your husband’s info too” and says nothing more. I have to ask, “what info do you need?” To which she just rattles off a bunch of categories (“um like name, birthday, etc”) that I have to backtrack and provide. The whole experience was quite awful for scheduling a simple routine wellness visit, especially for a return patient. Hopefully the rest of the staff are a lot nicer.
