I don’t know why this place has such a low rating but I had such a great experience. I was very nervous to get my procedure done but the staff and the drs made me feel very comfortable and were very nice.
Every staff member was wonderful-from check in to release. Dr. Faraji did my procedures and was thorough as always and assured me everything went well. The anesthesiologist listened to my concerns and I came out of recovery much quicker this time. The two nurses who prepped me were thorough, made sure I was comfortable and laughed at my jokes. I highly recommend Northern California Surgery Center in Turlock.
This surgery center is wonderful! Check-in was quick and smooth, and every person I encountered was incredibly kind and patient. I was a little (a lot) nervous going in, but Nurse Karla was amazing, so caring and comforting. The anesthesiologist was fantastic (I didn’t feel a thing!), and even though I didn’t catch all their names, everyone I interacted with made me feel safe and well cared for. Dr. Canale performed my procedure, and he was absolutely wonderful as well. It’s clear the entire team works with both compassion and excellence. Great place, thank you all for everything you do!
Staff is very unprofessional. People have their appointments and they arrive not eating in 2 days for the procedure and for them not to do the procedure. Just because they didn't have the documents from the Doctors office and they didn't even try until to call them and if they did they had the wrong # and of course couldn't get information. So, I had to call the office and that how I knew they had the wrong # and even fax #. And I ask to speak to manger and they said she/he was in Conference meeting wow how convenient was that. Very unprofessional staff.
If I could leave negative stars I would. This surgery center has no regard for the mental health of their patients. Their protocol is that no one is allowed to go back with their loved one while they get changed and prepped unless they have a disability or mental condition. While I could understand why they don’t want extra people back there, what harm does it cause to let ones significant other sit with them while they change and wait. They could easily send you back to the lobby once it’s time for the procedure. My significant other has severe anxiety and was texting me from the back where she as at having a panic attack and shutting down because she was scared. And has been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. But they made her go through this experience alone. Severe anxiety IS a mental disorder. And now she’s traumatized. As well as feeling dehumanized and feeling stupid for taking her blanket and small plushie with her because she was scared simply because she’s an adult and she shouldn’t be scared? She’s had traumatic experiences in hospitals. She needed her support person and they denied her that. I understand their policy, but when it comes to mental health there should be considerations. Now the after math of this experience is marked within her and she’s even more afraid of hospitals than before. Thank god her surgeon is amazing. That’s the only reason we came here. But something should be done about that protocol when it comes to the patients mental health. She’s completely shut down now. She didn’t come in here wanting any type of meds for anxiety she just wanted her person to wait with her until it was time.
