Something told me to cancel my procedure, and I wish I had listened. My experience at Holy Cross Providence Surgery Center started off fine. The check-in process was smooth, and my admitting nurse, Jenny, was absolutely amazing — kind, attentive, and compassionate. She deserves more than five stars. Unfortunately, everything went downhill once I was in recovery. I was told ahead of time that patients are allowed to recover at their own pace, especially after anesthesia. However, once I woke up, things felt rushed and chaotic. A nice nurse I beleive named Fang began going over my discharge papers, but before she could finish, another nurse rudely interrupted and abruptly told me I had 15 minutes to be discharged. I was groggy, disoriented, and barely able to sit up — let alone get dressed and walk out. To make matters worse, a different staff member — who frankly should not be working in healthcare — told me to sit in a chair and wait for my ride. I told her I wasn’t feeling well and asked if I could get some fresh air. Her response was rude and cold, and while I understand hospital liability policies, her attitude was completely uncalled for. The energy and tone she gave off were unprofessional and disrespectful. Thankfully, Fang noticed how unwell I looked and kindly offered me apple juice and crackers, which helped a little — especially since I had mentioned during pre-op that anesthesia makes me nauseous. Her kindness stood in stark contrast to the lack of care from the discharge team. Overall, the recovery area felt rushed and overcrowded. Patients shouldn’t be pushed out of bed before they’re ready just to make room. The staff should be scheduled more appropriately and trained to treat patients with the same compassion shown during the admitting process. Unless the admitting nurses like Jenny are running the entire center, I will not be returning here. Very dissatisfied with this experience and deeply disappointed in the way I was treated during recovery.
Dr. Fadi Chain saved my fingers... I'm very grateful, and thanks to him I can still work and provide a great lifestyle for my family. I'm glad I came here. I never knew this place was here... Now I come here becaus I know they are trustworthy.

Wonderful staff. My surgery went great and the team was fantastic. Extremely compassionate and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Gave me extra blankets when I was cold, helped me through my anxiety prior to my surgery, and took wonderful care of me afterwards. And I can breathe properly! Finally! I’m beyond thrilled and couldn’t have imagined a better experience. The man who did my anesthetic was such a sweetheart. Thank you guys so much!
I have had a few outpatient surgeries here, one as recently as April, 2022. The nurses are all very kind, very organized, and know exactly what they are doing. The x-ray techs in the surgical operating room are fantastic. I really would not go anywhere but Providence for any of my medical needs. There is an extremely high standard of EVERYTHING at Providence Holy Cross Surgical Center, from A to Z you are in fantastic hands (and there always seems to be someone to hold your hand when you need it).❤️
