I had an amazing experience at the Surgery Center of Long Beach! I was a little hesitant to book here thinking that the hospital might be better, but I'm so glad I did. The check in was simple and easy and I was taken in and given my hospital garbs and a comfy bed with warm blankets right away. The nurses were so sweet and very attentive to my every need. They communicated with me every step of the way and verified all of my information whenever a new person tended to me and when the anesthesiologist gave me medication. There was pleasant music playing in the patient area and the Surgery room. After surgery the nurses were right there by my side when I woke up, this was especially important to me given a terrible experience I had after a previous surgery many years ago. I wasn't in any pain when I awoke and they were very attentive while I came out of the anesthesia fog and transitioned to sitting up and helped me get dressed. They kept my husband informed every time I transitioned to a new phase of the process via text and my doctor called him after surgery was completed. They let him know when I was ready to be picked up. They gave my husband my after care instructions, a walker, and wheeled me out to the car and sent me on my way, happy and so grateful for the top notch care!! Thank you to everyone who made my experience so wonderful!! I hope I never have to get another surgery but if I ever do I will not hesitate to choose SCLB!!

Patients should be aware of the billing practices here, 5 months we’ve been waiting for a refund of 2500. High deductible health plan paid their share and the surgery center is holding on to our money trying to balance bill

I was a little skeptical about the location of the surgery center, however, once inside and getting prepped for my surgery, I was greeted with kindness and knowledgeable nurses and doctors. The anesthesiologist was very calming and helpful to ease my anxiety. The procedure took longer than they expected due to the size of my fibroid. I am marking 4 weeks from my procedure tomorrow and I am amazed at how well the cuts have healed and my own healing is great. Thank you and the team for calming nerves and having a wealth of knowledge to share with myself and my husband about the procedure.

Subject: Outstanding Recognition to The Nurses and Doctors at the Long Beach Surgery Center on 4/6/23 I wanted to express how grateful I am for the dedication the staff had throughout the complete process of my knee surgery. All were very positive with “can-do” attitudes to address any questions I may have had during my stay throughout the pre- and post-operation procedures. Dr. Kurzweil, his assistant, Mikki, and the Anesthesiologist Dr. Tripllete performed the surgery. Dr. Tripllete took the time to sit down with me just before the surgery and explained every detail in the process of his responsibility. It was the same with Dr Kurtweil who was outstanding with the precise work he performed on my left knee replacement via the robotic process. Also, I want to highlight some of the nurses who went over and beyond with the pre and post operation tasks. Nurse Kari was with me the complete time before surgery and was very attentive before I entered the surgery room. She had compassionate, kind personality and again if I had any questions or needed something, who was right there! Other great nurses were Victoria who took care of me when I arrived and during the recovery period and Sheri, who was excellent in-patient care and had a very positive attitude and assisted me in the post-surgery and departure areas. There were other nurses involved during my stay; however, I did not get their names. I want to be sure they are recognized during my stay too! I could not say enough about the overall care and professionalism of the COMPLETE team and will surely recommend this location and staff to our family and friends. Again, thank you very much for the great experience. My nervousness was alleviated through a professional and kind staff, and I appreciate them.
