Dr. King saved my life and did it again later on. I have complained about pain since 18, with it getting worse each year. The pain was so intense by my final semester, I couldn't graduate with my class as Kaiser ER, Stanford ER, and the school Dr treated me like an addict when never failing a drug test. After going through a spinal cord injury with no pain medication, I was lost and traumatize. Dr. King was the one to think of doing an x-ray of my jaw, which said do an MRI, and boom my jaw was so badly displaced by then surgeons won't touch me until necessary, so about 20 more years until that's an option. Dr. King introduced me to Botox as a large pain reliever for months at a time. I had to go to treatment for trauma and suicidal thoughts due to such trauma, but when I was through the program I was in, King welcomed me back unlike my psychiatrist who told me she didn't want to hear from me ever again. Likely because she over prescribed while King always had restraint. Don't expect him to be easy on you with medication, that's the best part about him. He won't allow you to get to a dose higher than needed and you'll learn to live with pain, its better than opioids believe me. He is no longer in network and I happily pay cash to continue care with him because the last PM doctor I saw broke Hipaa and should never have been able to prescribe medicine. That doctor, Dr. Charlu of Hoag, will give opioids to the rich though, King can't be bought. If you want drugs Charlu will prescribe them before seeing you like he did me, King might not prescribe to you at all. Big difference if you're looking to heal or just be medicated.

I have had nothing but good, positive interactions w/ Dr King & his staff. He was there for me as I went through Chemo / Radiation recently & helped me by prescribing stronger meds during my treatment. I am back on my normal meds now & it was an easy transition. I travel & spend a lot of time at my home in Texas & Claire has been great about helping me get my refills when I am there, no easy task for federally scheduled medications! I would recommend Dr. King to anyone who needs quality pain management.

Dr. King is an excellent physician. I have had many procedures from Dr. King and he consulted me thoroughly while helping me to understand the risks and rewards. He is consultative, confident and genuinely helps you while going through your need or treatment. I highly recommend Dr. King!

I have been doing the pain management dance for 27 years. About 18 years ago I found Dr. King, he's GREAT. His new-ish PA, Clair, is FANTASTIC. If you are reasonably new to Pain Mgt., it can be exceedingly frustrating. Even at this office you still have to deal with a staff person that may be overburdened today, this week, or generally (and needs a new job?). I have had Doctors that I liked with such miserable staff that I had to leave, so I understand that complaint. What is generally important to me is the knowledge and attitude person I need to see. I have no complaints there.

Doctor is over booking. If your in lots of pain, no one care. Takes two weeks to get treatment. Office worker said I have too many patients to file with insurance. This office is only in it for the money. Will look for a nother pain center who care for the patients.
