This review is specifically to help people who become basket cases at invasive hospital procedures. I had been putting off my first ever colonoscopy for several years due to anxiety around this kind of test. I usually feel pain even when a doctor says I won't, so anything they tell me I rarely believe. Since my PCP kept saying I was due for one & that I don't have to again for 10 years, I finally womaned up and got one more referral and did it today at BAEC. It was so scary to me right up until the time the ultra calm, gentle and professional anesthesiologist, Dr Yo, put the anesthesia in the IV then rubbed my hand cuz I told everyone that I would yell out if any pain is felt & there was & I did. I acted rather nutty indeed when they rolled me in & my gastroenterologist, Dr Singerman, asked how I was as he first saw me & I told him all my issues & then he calmly & simply said that the hard part is over, now it's the easy part. I thought both of them were crazy too cuz each told me I wouldn't feel a thing as I would be out & it'd be all over when I awoke. I then said some pretty dire things in my nervous wreck state that are frankly a bit embarrassing to repeat (you'll have trust me), which was right before this: Immediately after Dr Yo rubbed my hand a few seconds, I woke up back in the recovery area with Dr Singerman saying hey Camille everything was good, no polyps. He left to go to his next patient & that's when I realized IT WAS OVER! They all reassured me that they would take proper care of me and THAT THEY DID. A day I dreaded since I turned 45 (long ago, lol) was a day I will forever be grateful to the staff here for hearing my concerns & calmly, confidently and respectfully addressing them better than I could have ever imagined.
The entire procedure was very well done.I had a colonoscopy on April 30,2025.The anesthesiologist, the man who wheeled me into the procedure room and the doctor who performed the colonoscopy all were friendly and helpful.I would recommend this facility to anyone. If I left anyone out this statement applies to them as well.
I took my boyfriend to the Bay Area endoscopy for a colonoscopy. From the moment we walked in, I was greeted by a very friendly and professional receptionist who made the check-in process smooth. Robert, a staff member, welcomed us warmly and efficiently handled the check-in procedure. His friendliness and passion for working with people made us feel at ease. Once we were in the back, Larry, the nurse, was assigned to my boyfriend. He skillfully inserted my IV and was both attentive and reassuring throughout the entire process. His calm demeanor helped alleviate any anxiety I had about the procedure. Then there was Felicia, another member of the staff, who truly stood out. She was incredibly sweet and treated me with such kindness. Throughout our interaction, she showered me with compliments, telling me I was a "king," which brought a smile to my face and lifted my spirits. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at this office for their kindness and attentive care. Their support made a potentially stressful experience much more comfortable and reassuring. I truly appreciate everything they do!
I have received the excellent services today for my medical procedure. Doctor Wei Fang Ko, the nurse and other staffs have been very patiently, warmly providing services to me. Good job!!! Thank you so much!
