I recently had a procedure at United Surgery Center in Encinitas and was truly impressed by the exceptional level of care and professionalism from the entire team. As a physician myself, I tend to be very observant of how medical care is delivered—and I can say without hesitation that this team sets the bar high. Dr. Liza Plafsky was outstanding—clear, compassionate, and attentive throughout. Nurse Anesthetist Darren provided expert, reassuring care, and both Brianna and Kelsey were kind, skilled, and genuinely thoughtful in how they treated me. I also want to recognize M.A. Jonathan for his professionalism and courtesy. From start to finish, everything ran smoothly, and I felt well cared for at every step. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend United Surgery Center to anyone needing outpatient care. They truly make a difference.

such a positive experience !! Staff went beyond !! I had taken my wedding ring off for the procedure on a friday and put it in my purse but it came out when i put my glasses back on after the procedure .I was soooo upset since it was used by my grandmother and mother as well. The surgery center called me on the following monday saying.. " I think we found your ring....." !!!!!! " We had gone thru all the linens and the plastic bags with no luck...We found it in your wheel chair that we wheeled you out to your car!" I was not only thankful for their expert care for my procedure but for going the extra mile to look for my lost ring !!!!

Had two back-to-back horrible experience with a nurse and anesthesiologist here. First time, the nurse took 10 minutes to insert the IV, the whole time was joking about torturing me, and left the room without noticing that I passed out. Second time, I was supposed to have local anesthesia, but they did not admit me because I had eaten before, even though that was their instruction. But the worst part was the unprofessional comments by the anesthesiologist. He was asking me do you think you are a tough guy, have you ever been cut through without anesthesia, and similar fear-mongering questions until my doctor showed up.

We're so appreciative of this facility for supporting pediatric cases, and doing everything they could to make our daughters surgery run smoothly. I'll start by saying, there have been some reviews where the front office staff was said to be rude and I just want to say our visit was not like that. Angela was very kind and did everything she could leading up to my daughter's surgery to inform and prepare us. The entire nursing staff was great, we met everyone that was going to be involved with our daughters surgery beforehand, and explanations of what we could expect before, during, and after just kept flowing. After the procedure, the nurses immediately came and got us, took us back to our daughter, and I could tell many of them stuck around to make sure she was good because the wanted to, even though they weren't post-op nurses. They then wheeled us out through a side entrance to our car. It was overall a good experience for a nerve-racking day.
