I would highly recommend to look somewhere else. Dr. Stephen Summers turned a minor umbelical hernia the size of a pea that didn't need to be fixed right away and did not need a mesh into a full invasive procedure. Before he stated he needed to make a "small incision at the hernia." An arthroscopic prodecure or slit where the hernia is would had been sufficient by a skilled surgeon. He made a full 3 inch cut in the abdomen that cosmetically looks like a 5 year old performed completely not needed creating extra scar tissue. When asked later about it during follow up, he will talk over you in arogance. Dr. Stephen Summer's nurse and anesthesia tech at Otay Lakes Surgery Center are arrogant and unprofessioal. Quality is not there concern. They want to get you in and out as you are an inconvenience. I left the surgery center with a swollen lip, face and throat with sores and scars from there anesthesia. Dr. Stephen Summers after care procedures are very careless, vague and was not realistic per individual. When to clarify questions they were unresponsive and don't care about you and your time. Overall, the procedure was completely excessive for what I had. The work was sloppy. The after care procedures only created more problems and extended healing and recovery. Save yourself your valauble time for a better option and outcome.

Amazing surgery center. Everyone from the administrative staff to nurses and doctors were so kind and caring. They made my septoplasty surgery as comfortable as possible. Thank you Otay Lakes Surgery Center!
