As a young African-American female, this entire experience was awful. Dr.Ryan Nakesone refused to listen to my needs and kept pushing me in directions. I didn’t want to go ended up paying half $1000 and be put to sleep twice to get injected with needles in my spine to see if I was gonna have some massive surgery when all I needed was trigger point injections, he minimize my pain constantly also seemed like he was a little jealous of the actual Doctor Who does the Surgery. Seems like a scam to just get you into the surgery center that you have to pay out-of-pocket for it to go to before insurance even gets to it. Anyways, I’m in more pain more scarring more let down by Drs and I just would recommend anyone who goes here, especially old people who don’t want to be taken advantage of and people of color and female who don’t want to be belittled and taking advantage of. I’m literally literally just left with more pain and now scars. Doctors with big egos and pride are not a good equation for care and healing. ❤️‍🩹

The Dude

Unexpectedly and during the coronavirus they maintained a very clean sanitary and professional decorum! However please avoid a very hostile woman in the billing department by the name of Tammy, regretfully she is a very unhappy person and threatens other people‘s well-being and their health! When the individual attempts to maintain a very calm and pleasant demeanor she becomes adverse and hostile as well verbally abusive and threatening she has no idea who is on the other end of the phone but becomes very creative in her defamatory and slanderous statements as well threats to abuse that person in many ways! Although my bill was already paid she had no foundation or merit to base her actions my wife witnessed the entire conversation I was overwhelmed by such an unhappy person! I didn’t deserve nor does anyone else deserve to be treated in that respect if someone’s having a bad day at work she was controlling intimidating and threatening do your best to avoid this person and contact the headquarters to resolve any issues

Pros: I have been experiencing back trouble for about 8 years. I finally got the courage to get an epidural. I am deathly afraid of needles and Literally experience anxiety attacks weeks before my procedure. I’ve only had horrible experiences when it came comes to drawing blood and starting IVs. Mainly because many people do not know what they’re doing. So this is the basis of my fear of getting any type of surgical procedures. But when I went to Spanish Hills surgical center, Dr. Kiker and Dr. Wolfsohn and the nurses were extremely knowledgeable, had exceptional bedside manner, and was very sensitive to the fact that I was afraid. I Literally started crying and told him I was afraid to get the IV. They asked if I was a hard stick and I said yes. They immediately called Dr. Wolfsohn in to start the IV and I mean to tell you she started it in two seconds and it did not hurt. I was floored! I had a colonoscopy at a facility in Woodland Hills ( that I will not mention here but feel free to read about my horrific experience with them on yelp) and they stuck me nine times before getting the IV started. I’ve never experienced this type of pain in my life! It was so painful that I yelled out three times. So, for Dr. Wolfsohn to come in and start my IV in two seconds with little or no pain, I was beyond grateful. Also, Dr Kiker, who performed my procedure, Who performed my procedure, saw that I was sobbing and he came over and gently touch me on the shoulder and talked gently to me and really calmed me down. I am so thankful for how I was treated at that facility. They are really compassionate and seem to enjoy their profession and one another. In fact when I was escorted into the surgery area for my 8am epidural, I felt like I was at Disneyland because everyone was smiling, alert and ready to go. So I highly highly highly recommend this facility. It’s only been one day since I had the procedure and I do feel positive effects all ready.. I still have some pain but nothing like I did the day before surgery. Con: Now on a negative note, Which has absolutely nothing to do with the doctors and nurses...whoever was in charge of notifying me of my insurance and co-pay obligation, dropped the ball. I arrived at the facility fearful and filled with nervous anxiety, I was then told that I would have to pay $300 before the procedure would be performed ( not as curtly as I’ve implied here). Mind you my procedure was scheduled approx. two weeks in advance and no one ever notified me of this cost. Therefore I was very happy that my daughter had taken me because I did not bring any credit cards or bank card because I was expecting to pay a $25 co-pay which I had in cash. So we did have a rocky start, but the exceptional bedside manner, compassion and friendliness that occurred in the back really overshadow that inconvenience. And just to be fair they did apologize profusely for the oversight. All in all I highly highly highly recommend Dr Kiker and Dr Wolfsohn at the Spanish Hills Surgical Center 😘💕💕💕

Before I found Spanish Hills Surgery Center and Dr. Kiker I had so much pain that I was in bed for a year at a time if not longer. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work he and his AMAZING staff have done for me. The staff are all just so wonderful and kind and really treat you well, I have never been taken care of so well by the staff at a doctors office and I can't thank them enough for all that they do for me and my family. I would recommend all of the doctors there without a second thought.
