The staff, nurses, and surgeons were absolute angels! From the free valet parking, to check in, to prep, all the way to recovery and to when they wheeled my husband out to our car, everyone was amazing! If I could give more than 5 stars I would ✨️.
I'm on my 3rd surgery this year. Being autistic I deal with so many physiological complex challenges, and this was a healing experience for me despite the surgery being a painful one. A very huge thank you to the outpatient surgery center staff, Denise, Lettie, Erika, and Christina. I felt seen, heard, and understood. My pain was managed consistently. It was phenomenal care. I have dealt with communication struggles during procedures or being mistaken for med seeking due to my autism bc I over communicate at times, it can be dehumanizing. So, thank you all, I felt like I was in fantastic hands, I'm so used to being forced to suffer I forgot what it was like to be treated with care. Bless you.
Had my surgery here. Nothing but positive things to say about the surgeon, anesthesiologist, all the nurses that reassured me & made me feel comfortable. The office was clean, organized, friendly. I was upset because my surgeons office scheduled my surgery for 1130AM. I arrived a bit early with the front staff saying they had me for 2:45PM. Long story short my surgeon was running behind, but the front staff didnt seem to want to call to verify at first. They were questioning me when I had the text messages. I stayed calm & just trying to communicate. The initial lady helping check in seemed timid & when it seemed like the way she was wording it with me was under control & would of been fine another lady from the back stepped in like assuming she was doing damage control but she had an attitude. My husband & i were fine waiting even though it sucked waiting that long but a professional explanation of being behind or misunderstanding and just apologizing or pretending to call verify & explain we would of understood. We werent hostile or about to get upset, maybe looked disappointed but nothing more. we did however get frustrated with the lady who stepped in unnecessarily & she was giving us looks before & after. Not one smile. It seemed like the first lady just was quiet after, checked us in & stayed to herself back there. Seemed awkward. Other than that everyone was fantastic, bright, informative, helpful, reassuring. I even got to stay over night and everyone was so helpful, sweet, on time, prompt & i was so appreciative of my surgery going smooth & my care before & after! Highly recommend this center!
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional empathy and service I received during my outpatient procedure. The care and attention from the entire staff were truly remarkable. I am genuinely thankful to each and every one of you for making a potentially stressful experience so much more comfortable.
Finding the place was very easy as detailed instructions were given pre-op. This was the only redeeming experience I had. I checked in to my appointment 15 minutes early and was not called back until 45 minutes after my scheduled time. My insurance does not require co-pay, but this center's policy was to pay for my full surgery up front versus waiting for the bill to process through my insurance. I do not agree with this policy but I guess I had no choice. Recovery from my major sinus surgery was a horror show. When I awoke from anesthesia, I had a strong urge to urinate. The nurse gave me a container to use but I had major difficulty. She then asked me to get dressed and wheeled me to the toilet which was successful. Immediately after, they had informed me that my ride was here as I was going home...I was shocked as this must have been less than 20 minutes after I woke up. Well, I was very much "out of it" from the anesthesia and they tried giving me some applesauce and ginger ale. I started to get nauseous and then proceeded to vomit quite a bit of blood. As I was vomiting, my ride arrived and I was promptly wheeled to the car to go home. They give me a couple of gauze packs for the road. The fact that I was rushed out while very in a very incapacitated state, nauseous, and vomiting blood is unacceptable. They should have ensured that I was comfortable and more stable prior to letting me go home. The gauze they gave me did not last very long, which required me to go out and purchase more in a panic. The long wait time, payment policy, and rushing me out the door while I am not in what I would consider to be a stable condition are the reasons I have this center 1 star. I later spoke to my doctor about my experience and was told that this is not the first time the doctor has heard of this. This center really needs to start putting patients first over trying to cycle as many people through as possible.
