I’d love to give Dr. Swarup a five star review and have in all my past reviews. Unfortunately, this one is 4 stars and maybe should be lower. 10 months ago he closed a hole in my heart. At my quarterly check in in September, I asked “How do you know the hole has healed and close properly?” He said, “we did a TEE to check it right after surgery.” Mind you I’ve seen him at least 7 times since that closure. I said, “No you didn’t do a TEE after the procedure. You did it before to measure the hole.” He said, “ No, we did it.” The scribe interrupts and says, “A, she’s right. You haven’t done a post surgical check/TEE”!!!!!!! Wow. I love this doctor but I fell through the cracks. I now have n appointment to do he TEE (trans esophageal ultrasound). I’m a little nervous. It’s my heart! The hole caused a stroke 18 months ago. Why do I have to be a consumer of medicine and use doctor Google to know what to ask a seasoned physician. My trust has been broken.

The appointment was on time and the logistics of the telemedicine call were easily handled. Dr “T” was clear and thorough in his questions and gave me instructions as to how to proceed going forward. He demonstrated concern and caring throughout the call. I would recommend him and his practice to anyone seeking an unusually competent and qualified Cardiologist.

I met Dr. T and his team about 3 weeks ago. It was unusual because part of the team was on a visual board and then Dr. T spent time regarding my condition. Dr. T was upbeat, very knowledgeable and most important, very frank with his analysis of what I should consider. He gave me options and suggestions that were spot on. I would recommend Dr. T and his staff to everyone.

This place really needs to work on communication. I've been waiting in the lobby for over an hour with a syringe in my hand. They finally told me after I went to the front desk there was an incident with a patient. I'm completely sympathetic with such a situation but let the patients know there will be a delay!! Since i arrived, front office employees are on tik tok, they opened the front door due to a supposed sewer smell (doesn't smell in the lobby) and it's 110° today. Definitely will never be back nor will I recommend AZ Heart to any of my family or friends.
