I had cataract surgery and paid way more than what I was quoted to have it done. Thousands of dollars later, I have to pay $400 more to have this "finished" because there was more scar tissue than he thought there would be. I have been very unhappy with the results. Although I can see better than I could before, the multifocal is underwhelming. The level of patient care sucks as well. I had a 1 month follow-up yesterday at 3:15. At around 4 when I was called back, everyone was in "going home mode". They didnt do the full examination because in my helpers words "everyone was ready to go home"! Dr Foster assured me that the in office procedure that I need is covered by insurance, only to be called today and be told that I would owe another $400. I will go blind before I let sub par patient care, and sketchy billing rule the day. Do not recommend.
The staff is nice but the wait times are ridiculous. Husband had cataract surgery at 6AM and then had to comeback for a follow up at 10:30AM the same day. We got to the follow up appointment at 10:20 and he was not called to the back until 11:45. Keep in mind he had anesthesia in his system and his eye was scratchy. Hubby just wanted to lay down. Horrible wait times. The staff is the only reason I gave this place any stars
My first cataract surgery was great,BUT my 2nd surgery was a negative experience. Not only did the nurse missed my veins 2x ,she had to get another nurse to do it right which left my hand and side black and blue and Then my Dr.(Foster) did not identify himself,as if I knew under the mask who it was. Then he leaves without saying onword and the only one who I can say were the best, well educated staff were Ms. Rosemary and the male who took me out in the wheelchair. very disappointed. I wasn't a patient that day,I was just another $$ figure.
Dr Lee performed cataract surgery on my dad. Had complications, which we knew was a possibility. The problem is Dr Lee allowed him to go 3 weeks with a detached retina before telling us that was the problem and referring us to a surgeon who could try to reattach it. Now he can't see out of that eye due to the 3 wks of staining, AND he keeps getting a bill for $20.00. So, they not only directly caused the loss of vision, but want him to pay them more for doing it!
Dr. Lee performed both of my cataract surgeries here one week apart, and I was very happy with the entire process. The staff were alll very friendly and personable, and made me feel comfortable and well cared for. I was very impressed with the nurses, anesthesiologist, and of course Dr. Lee! I wouldn't hesitate recommending Eye Surgery Center and Dr. Lee to anyone.
